I'm downloading tonight's Smackdown as we speak! :)
I have to resort to downloading the episodes, since they still don't show Wrestling on Dutch tv. *grumble*
I love my WWE (Though in my heart it is still WWF *damned panda*). It's my second favorite past time. And you've gotta love the diva's! Well, most of them anyways. I watched ECW this week, with Kelly Kelly's exposé... Was that bad or what?! Kelly has a pretty face and a sexy body for a 20-year old, but she can't move. Personally, I don't see what dancing has to do with wrestling, but at least give us someone who CAN dance! Of course no one really noticed how bad she was, because Leyla was far worse. I still can't see how she won the Diva Contest. Of course, I still can't figure how Ashley won it the year before that.
These new Diva's all shake what little they have and think they are good enough. At least give these girls some training. Take Candice Michelle. She was really cut out for this stuff either in the beginning. But she has since prooven that she is willing to fight for making a name for herself. From just being Eye-Candy, she is training herself to be a half decent female wrestler. She isn't there yet, but she is showing that she has the heart to get there. It's been more than a year with Ashley, and she is still clunking about. There is no grace to her at all. She is willing to give a few jabs. And she obviously stays fit. But she isn't out there, like a Lita, Trish or Victoria to carve a craft out of this. Damn, I miss Christy Hemme on Raw!

You're "downloading" the show? What do you mean? It hasn't even started. I must be missing something here. Here in France, there's only a one hour recap show and it isn't even in time with the current shows. They're a month late with the events happening so I only check up their website and watch the small recap vids they post. :(
As for the Divas, I agree with you. The divas, now, are only there to be eye-candy... well, most of them. Though, some like Candice, are willing to perform and train to do so and we can see it like you said. And damn hell, I miss Christy too. I also miss Trish, Stacy (though she doesn't wrestles, I love her and... whew, hot legs) and mostly, the old school divas who, at least, knew how to wrestle before knowing how to be eye-candy. :(

The women's devision is lacking at this moment, without Trish and Lita. Eventhough Lita's back and knees still had not healed fully, she was better in the ring than most guys! Right now the only women with a real wrestling back ground are Victoria, Jillian Hall and Mickie James. Actually Melina also, but she has chosen to be a manager rather then a fighter. :(
So you're stuck with only three people to carry the women's devision. I know the Diva's are mostly there to appeal for the eyes. But female wrestling can be a beautiful (entertainment) sport. I remember the 80's, when most of the women were better wrestlers then the guys. But because it was women's wrestling they never got a fair break.

Yes, that's true. Now, there aren't any Divas capable to wrestle besides those three. As for Melina, I don't understand why she's there. Besides her two soccer balls, she's not great. She's even uglier than the Boogeyman!!!
As for the eighties, I can't say much since I was not even born (not in the first half) but I remember that though the Divas in the nineties were eye-candy, they still knew how to wrestle. :)
Test??? What did he do to drive her off from the show? I think I must have missed something here. :o Test and Stacy used to date in real life. Then one day something happened. They had issued a snow storm warning. Test wanted Stacy to meet his family, eventhough they were scheduled to be on a PPV the next night,... Initially, Stacy didn't want to, because of the warning issued, but Test convinced her to go anyways. When they were supposed to fly to the venue, the airport was snowed in and they missed show.
Now, the details are a bit schetchy here, but because they did have a fair warning of the storm, but decided to go elsewhere which caused them to miss the show, they were fined or reprimanded or something. Test blew up and blamed Stacy for the whole incident,...which was his idea to begin with. Several days later HE broke up with HER!!! After that, he didn't really deal professionally with it and appearantly called her names in several interviews. Not much later, Test was "Injured" which eventually lead to him being fired from the WWE. The incident caught up with Stacy. Her storylines were cut. She made a brief appearance with Helms & Rosey as Super-Stacy, but the fun was gone for here, so she moved out of the spotlight.
HE broke up with HER, when it was all HIS fault to begin with. I have a few four letter words for him that don't sound like Test at all.
As for Melina, she is a former free-style women's champion in the indi-circuit! So she knows how to fight outthere. But she decided to step back and stand at her fiance's (Johnny Nitro) side.

I have heard that Amy Weber left WWE because he hassled (is that how we say it? can't remember the word) her on a plane during a long range trip. What a pity! Though she didn't wrestled, she was really eye-candy. :o

Like Sable/Rena Mero getting caught having sex with one of the Superstars during a live Raw broadcast. Luckilly the Camera's weren't on at them at the time. But if they were, Vince McMahon would have had a lot of explaining to do, because she couldn't keep her legs crossed for another 90 minutes. And then SHE has the gal to sue the WWE! She lost that one btw.

I don't think it was ever said with whom Sable got caught being friendly. But rumor has it that it was Rob Van Dam. He was seperated from his wife at the time, and had been seen often together outside of wrestling because she was modeling for the Muze comic book, while he was promoting his own comic book store called 5 Stars. So they ended up in alot of the same places. Also RVD was "injured" for almost year only a few weeks after the incident. Being "injured" is often code of being given a time-out in wrestling.

Oh? They have met after? My bad, I must look back into the stories then. :o Well,... Met as in Met. They did know each other before. But they weren't an item. Then again, who knows how loose she was after she devorced from Marc Mero. If she can get caught having sex DURING a life RAW show, there is little that would surprise about her in that regard.
Of course, I didn't like Rena Mero eversince she attacked Lita and a few other Diva's on a talkshow for having had boobjobs done on them,... Especially since her own rack are as fake as they come!

Recap
Dallas was Raw’s first stop on the Road to WrestleMania, and it was a night full of surprises in the sold out American Airlines Center. As Raw went off the air, Undertaker rose up from the ground amidst smoke and flames. The Deadman locked his gaze on John Cena, leaving WWE fans to wonder — has Undertaker set his sights on the WWE Championship?
That wasn’t the only surprise for Cena, who got one from Shawn Michaels as well. Less than 24 hours after his incredible performance in the Royal Rumble Match, HBK (who fell one (dead) man short of winning the match) spoke to the capacity crowd.
“Last week I said that no mere mortal man was going to stand in my way of winning the Royal Rumble Match and going on to the main event at WrestleMania. The problem is, in the Royal Rumble Match there were 29 mortal men… and the Undertaker.” He went on to claim, “I will somehow be the next WWE Champion at WrestleMania.”
At that point, Cena blasted towards the ring, closely followed by World Tag Team Champions Randy Orton & Edge. Mr. McMahon then appeared on the TitanTron to stop a brawl between the four powerful Superstars, and stunned the crowd for his Fan Appreciation Night by announcing a World Tag Team Championship Match pitting Rated-RKO against Cena & Michaels later in the night.
Before the main event started, Ric Flair warned Cena that some Sweet Chin Music from Michaels could very well be in The Champ’s immediate future. When the four Superstars reached the ring, the fists flew and WWE fans were treated to a match of epic proportions. After a string of near falls, Cena nailed Orton with a thunderous FU to pick up the three-count. In the same night he claimed that he furthered his intentions to become the new WWE Champion, HBK joined the current champ to become one of the most unlikely pairs of World Tag Team Champions in history. Moments after their victory, Cena and Michaels engaged in some heated words. Was HBK planning to knock out Cena?
Last week on Raw, Mr. McMahon left WWE fans scratching their heads after he announced that he had a big surprise in store for them. This week, the Chairman tried to live up to his claim that the evening would be Fan Appreciation Night by emerging with a blown-up picture of himself on the cover of Muscle and Fitness magazine. The Chairman then went on to personally sign the picture for one "lucky" female fan. Needless to say, WWE fans weren’t impressed. Just then, the entire TitanTron was engulfed with the magnificent golden locks of none other than Donald Trump. Trump made it clear that he knew what WWE fans wanted – cold, hard cash. The Donald then had buckets of his own money dumped into the arena, leaving Mr. McMahon fuming. The bad blood between these two brilliant billionaires is sure to continue.
A day after eliminating a whopping seven Superstars during the Royal Rumble Match, The Great Khali challenged Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy for his gold. Khali used his incredible size and strength to dominate the talented Hardy during much of the match. After receiving a brutal chop from the 420-pound Punjab Warrior, Hardy hit the ground hard outside the ring and failed get back in before the referee’s 10-count, giving Khali a count-out victory. Because the match resulted in a count-out, the Intercontinental Championship did not change hands.
In other Raw action, Cryme Tyme suffered their first loss on Raw to The World’s Greatest Tag Team, and Melina became the No. 1 Contender to the Women’s Championship after manipulating Mr. McMahon into giving her a match against Maria. Also, Umaga, who still bore the rope burns from his Last Man Standing Match with John Cena, used his pent-up fury to bulldoze his way to a quick win over Val Venis, and Carlito & Super Crazy (who remains both Super AND Crazy) successfully teamed up to defeat the cocky duo of Kenny Dykstra & Chris Masters.

What a surprise to see Shawn Michaels and John Cena being World Tag Team Champions! Hope it will be for some time! They seem to be good together though HBK wants some "more" gold. :D Also, it seems that the Undertaker apparently wants Cena's gold. Com'on, give us a triple threat match with these three guys!!!!!
It's the Undertaker! The WWE would be fools if they didn't milk it out on all three brands. So expect him to be on the ECW show tonight as well. They'll let him sniff on all the brands, but my prediction is that he's going for the SmackDown title.
It may have been a while, but we've already seen a Taker/Cena fued. Not to mention that Cena is already involved with a Mr.McMahon/Coach angle. That is still in the early stages. It has the potential to grow into something more, which would make a fued with Taker rather counter productive.
The ECW is still establishing itself. Throwing Undertaker at the title at this stage would only hurt it. Right now, it is not ready for big names beyond the ECW-circle. Although I'm sure most of us would like to see a Lashley vs Undertaker, whichever way the victory would fall, it would hurt that brand at this delicate stage.
After the actions of last week, there is already something brewing between him and Batista. THAT is a match that would make the main event a WM23 MAIN EVENT!!! Maybe even throw Mr. Kennedy into the mix. That is what would be the smart choice to make.

Very true there! It would be very plain stupid if they didn't indeed. ;)
Hmm... it could be true. I have to admit that there isn't any big names in ECW for now... :)
If they had to go for the Smackdown! championship, I would see more a Triple Threat match with Kennedy in the mix. But if so, I would prefer seeing Batista win! He's the man!
The ECW is getting there. But they need some time. This year is not the time. But using ECW as a talent-pool is smart. Give guys like Matt Striker, Kevin Thorne and Elijah Burke time to season, and they will become headliners in time.
As for Batista, I don't know... Since his return, his matches have been boring at best. He's trying to be sophisticated and be raw power at the same time. Only in this case, one must subcumb to the other. Show me a match worth watching. Maybe then, I want to see gold around his waist.

Batista has gotten stale real quick. I hope Taker can elevate his game somewhat. There are many guys on SD that can do a better job of defending that title.
Speaking of titles, I'm downloading it now, but I have seen the preview. Didn't I tell you Undertaker would be over at ECW? It would be a match worth seeing, Lashley vs Undertaker. Especially with what I said about Batista, at least in my humble opinion. But for the business it would be better. Especially if they can throw Kennedy in there too! :)

Yeah! I have seen the results on the WWE page and it's vids. The Undertaker chokeslammed Test so beautifully after the match against Test and Bobby Lashley as this one was looking up the Undertaker who was looking to make a point. It would be a great match between the two since, Bobby Lashley is a good wrestler with great strength like Batista though he's new. But for the business, it would be better to have the Undertaker against Batista and Kennedy at the same time. Though, it would even be better if there were an triple threat match between him, John Cena and Shawn Michaels.
I watched ECW. I got kind of ruined by the whole overwhelming Vince McMahon angle. But the thing that really ruined it was the 'Extreme Exposé' bit. I don't know what they were trying to do, but dancing it was not. It was something 3 10-year old girls would put together, but only worse... They barely knew what they were doing. Kelly Kelly was just trying to do something that resembled a dance act, and Leyla can't move! She stromped about like an old bag of potatoes. Brooke seemed to know how to move, but it was like being led by the blind. Give them someone who knows what he/she is doing, or keep them and their 'Exposé' out of the ring.
This has got to be one of my favorite WWE skits ever. HHH showing Trish how to get out of a Hammerlock! :p

That's one of my favorite too! I remember I was dead laughing when I first seen it. I knew Steph was going to burst in and watch the scene while Trish was bending over. :D
I haven't seen it but I don't doubt you as few knows how to dance in the WWE as far as I have seen not to say moving. No,... There are enough women in the WWE past and present who do know how to dance. Or at least how to move. These little girls just don't.

In real life, they weren't married, but as more and more they started to dislike each other on screen, the more and more they fell in love with each other in real life. Around the time the had files for divorce on RAW, they had announced in real life that they were planning to get married. :)

I think so too. But we never know. Only time can tell. As for Lita, is she going through something? Or is she really injured though I doubt it.
Lita's injuries is only a small part of why she has stopped. Her leg and back still have not healed completely. But it's mostly the Matt Hardy fans. That they boo her when she's performing is one thing. But they stalk her in her private life too and send her death threats and such, because these fans are still upset that she cheated on Matt Hardy to be with Edge. As if it is any of their business what these three people do with their lives. When people started pelting her with trash out of moving cars, as she was walking her dogs, she decided she was going to leave the wrestling bizz. :(
She is now in a punk rock band, just having fun.

She really cheated Matt with Edge? Damn! I thought it was only part of the script. Nope. It was real life that got turned into a script. They mostly did that because people in the audience started calling her names that went far beyond "you suck". And it's rather difficult to bleep out the background throughout the whole show. So they made Edge and Matt settle it inside the ring, in the hope it would silence the hurtful namecalling. Unfortunately, Matt Hardy only tried to encourage it all, so eventually they shipped him off to SD. Despite his childish behavior, he is still a great wrestler.
The sad part in it all was that Edge and the Hardy's were best friends off camera. And they both admitted that they handled the situation poorly. But Matt so completely over reacted, it hurt not only their friendship, but it was real close to hurting their careers.
To tell you the truth, I still can't believe Lita was with Matt to begin with! I get that he got hurt by all this, but he reacted in such a childish manner. I'm even surprised that Ashley is his girlfriend now. Although, I think they suit each other much better then Lita did.

I agree with you. At first, I thought that Lita was with Jeff until I read an article about their relationship. After that, when she was with Edge, I thought that it was after they have splitted and that they had agree mutually to bring it on T.V. to fuel audiences. As for Ashley being with Matt, I hope that there won't be any cheating because she is way much better than Lita in my opinion.

The feature only started a few weeks ago. And the design of their site makes it difficult to navigate through it to find the stuff you want. :(
Just watched tonight's SmackDown... There are some nice surprises at the end of the show with the Undertaker...
There was also a bikini contest this week... The token "I ain't strippin'" diva this time was Jillian Hall. Ashley was given the win here. It could be me, but it sounded to me the Crystal got more cheers then Ashley got to win it. (And Ashley still walks like a week old bag of potatoes).
There were some good matches this week.

Yes, indeed. The new design isn't great to find anything though, it still looks a little bit better. :) Yeah, Vince McMahon was absolutely right when he said wwe.com sucks. It pissed Michael Cole (who is also the creative director of the site) off that McMahon said that at a press conference, but he's right!
Take the Daily Diva feature. It's setup to be used as a desktop wallpaper. But the pictures are far too small to use it as such. Most of them are absolutely awsome pictures, but as they are there is little you can do with them.
There is so much potential top their site, but just isn't utilized. Getting a decend way to navigate through the site so you won't easilly miss stuff should be first on the agenda...maybe after getting someone else for Cole's job.

Recap
On the first extreme stop of the Road to WrestleMania, ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley was victorious over Test for the third time in two weeks, but the champion’s celebration was curtailed by the menacing gong that signaled the grim appearance of The Phenom.
Moments after Lashley exploded through Test, Undertaker arrived and buried the Impact Player’s bruised body into the ECW mat with a chokeslam. The 2007 Royal Rumble winner then stood eye-to-eye with ECW’s fighting champion, who stood unwavering in the haunting face of the Deadman. (WATCH)
The final image ECW fans were left with on Tuesday night was Lashley peering deep into the ominous eyes of the individual who might be the next challenger for his ECW World Title. Monday night on Raw, Undertaker appeared to have possibly targeted WWE Champion John Cena as his opponent at WrestleMania 23. Could Undertaker have the intentions of facing Lashley for ECW gold on April 1? Or could it even be SmackDown’s own World Heavyweight Champion Batista?
If the live sold-out crowd in Houston couldn’t appreciate the unexpected arrival of The Phenom, they may have enjoyed Mr. McMahon’s heralded first-ever appearance on ECW on Sci Fi. The WWE Chairman made his way to the Land of the Extreme to continue his brand of fan appreciation, but he certainly didn’t seem to appreciate the backbone of ECW: its Originals. In fact, he said they – and anything having to do with the original ECW – “suck.”
As he prepared to make a few changes in ECW, Mr. McMahon’s disparaging interaction with Sandman, Sabu and others didn’t seem to leave a delightful taste in the mouth of the Extremists. Later, when the Chairman exposed ECW fans to the man he called “the future of ECW” – Elijah Burke – a slighted throng of Originals took extreme exception.
After Burke and McMahon posed for a photo opportunity, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Balls Mahoney and Sandman all swarmed the ring and leveled the McMahon-endorsed, brash Burke. Though it was arguably the biggest night in Burke’s young career thus far, ultimately, Burke learned a very valuable (and painful) lesson in the roots of ECW. (WATCH)
Also, coming off an arduous fight in the 30-man Royal Rumble Match, Rob Van Dam collided with Hardcore Holly. The Alabaman Extremist endured every kick RVD could muster and after slamming Van Dam shoulder first into the steel ring post, Holly executed the Alabama Slam for the victory – just as he did weeks ago against CM Punk.
Speaking of the straightedge Extremist, Punk suffered the ill fate of injustice on ECW on Sci Fi as Matt Striker used the ring ropes to earn a tainted victory over Punk.
Finally, the Sexiest Women on TV heated things up on Tuesday night as ECW Die Hards were teased by the hot steps of Kelly Kelly, Layla and Brooke: Extreme Exposé.

Recap
The fallout from the Royal Rumble continued on SmackDown as its Superstars embarked on the Road to WrestleMania. Only one question remained: Who will Undertaker face at WrestleMania 23?
The action was live from the sold-out Toyota Center in Houston. This was the third WWE show in the state of Texas this week, all three sellout crowds of WWE fans. Several celebrities were in attendance, including Tracy McGrady of the NBA’s Houston Rockets, DeMeco Ryans of the NFL’s Houston Texans, and rock ‘n’ roll legend Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top.
World Heavyweight Champion Batista demanded an answer from the Deadman about his intentions for WrestleMania 23, welcoming the challenge.
“The World Heavyweight Championship up against the [Undertaker’s] 14-0 undefeated streak. It doesn’t get any bigger than that.”
Just when fans believed Undertaker would appear, WWE Champion John Cena came out and demanded an answer — an answer he believes he rightfully deserves.
Batista and Cena stood side-by-side, both with their gold over their shoulders as the Phenom made his way out. Undertaker stared them both down, seemingly ready to make a choice — until Shawn Michaels interrupted.
“You two aren’t the only ones who want an answer,” HBK said. “Undertaker, put your title match on the line against me.”
Although all four men had questions for each other, only one man ultimately decides the fate of Superstars: Mr. McMahon. The Chairman made his way to Texas having answers.
“I don’t give a damn what any of you want,” said The Chairman. “On Feb. 18 there will be no way out for you four men.”
Mr. McMahon then announced a blockbuster match involving all four men. In less than three weeks at WWE’s No Way Out on pay-per-view, WWE Champion John Cena and his tag team partner, fellow World Tag Team Champion Shawn Michaels, will face World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Undertaker.
In other action, a focused Mr. Kennedy defeated Vito, and unleashed an assault on the dress-wearing Superstar. After leaving Vito unconscious, Kennedy sought out General Manager Theodore Long.
“I should be the World Heavyweight Champion,” Kennedy explained to Long.
After listening to Kennedy’s gripes, the General Manager decided that next week on SmackDown, it will be Mr. Kennedy taking on Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship.
United States Champion Chris Benoit retained his gold when he pinned Finlay. This tough, physical match was interrupted when Little Bastard attempted to emerge from under the ring.
After numerous tries by Little Bastard to emerge, Boogeyman was revealed to be below the ring, preventing him from going anywhere. This caused Finlay to lose the focus he had on Benoit’s knee. The Rabid Wolverine capitalized and retained his United States Championship.
King Booker returned to his hometown of Houston and was greeted with a ceremony giving him the key to the city, from the Ancient Order of Royal Houstonians. The coronation quickly turned sour when Kane arrived and cleared the ring. Kane was still seething about the Royal Rumble, when he eliminated King Booker, only to have Booker re-enter the ring and eliminate him. Booker ran off and the Big Red Monster stood tall.
In just their third week of action, the new additions to SmackDown’s roster, Deuce and Domino were able to win a non-title match against the WWE Tag Team Champions, Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Deuce and Domino have been dominant since debuting, and they continued to make a name for themselves at the expense of the champions.
The Miz defeated Matt Hardy when Joey Mercury interfered and nailed Hardy with his protective faceguard. Matt Hardy claimed to be finished with Mercury after the Royal Rumble, but Mercury is still hell-bent on revenge.
SmackDown Diva Ashley was declared by WWE fans to be the winner of the Diva Bikini Contest. Jillian refused to participate, deciding to sing to the crowd, much to the disgust of Ashley, Kristal and anyone within an earshot. After winning the approval of the crowd, Ashley stripped Jillian down to her bra and panties, giving WWE fans something they really wanted.
Finally, Vickie Guerrero told Kristal, “I will be returning to SmackDown soon.”

Recap
On an explosive live episode of Raw from Sioux City, Iowa, tickets for WrestleMania were punched, an Animal was Chokeslammed, two billionaires promised to appear next week on Raw and the ECW Title was defended for the first time ever on a Monday night, all as WWE continues to push full steam ahead on the Road to WrestleMania.
In an extremely rare occurrence, the show opened with all three brands represented in the ring as WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Batista and ECW Champ Bobby Lashley stood together, awaiting a decision from the Deadman. It didn’t take long for Undertaker to make his decision, making a demonic gesture towards Batista signifying his WrestleMania intentions as the WWE fans roared in approval. A few minutes later, the Phenom would make an emphatic statement, chokeslamming Batista to the mat and laying the groundwork for what could be one of the most intense matches of each man’s storied careers.
The WWE fans’ approval of Undertaker’s decision was matched only by the approval of Shawn Michaels, Edge and Randy Orton, all of whom made their way to the ring with an agenda. With the WWE Championship’s fate still left to be determined, the bitter rivals each staked their claim to John Cena’s gold. As the trio argued in the ring, Mr. McMahon made his way towards the stage and made an official ruling. The Chairman decided that HBK, Orton and Edge would meet in Raw’s main event under Triple Threat rules, with the winner earning the right to face Cena at WrestleMania.
As is usually the case when three bitter rivals the likes of HBK, Orton and Cena get in the ring, the competition was as physical and intense as could be. All three individuals poured out their soul in an attempt to earn the right to headline sports-entertainment’s grandest stage. However, as Raw went off the air, only one man could lay claim to the role of Cena’s challenger, and that man was the Showstopper, Shawn Michaels. HBK took advantage of the Triple Threat Rules, dishing out some Sweet Chin Music to Edge and pinning a previously fallen Randy Orton to pick up the win.
As Raw went off the air, HBK and Cena stood face to face in the ring while Undertaker and Batista did the same on the stage. On February 18th at SmackDown’s No Way Out pay-per-view, WrestleMania opponents will be forced to team up when Batista & Undertaker face World Tag Team Champions John Cena and HBK.
Mr. McMahon was a busy man on Monday. Halfway through the show, he received word from Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman that a letter from Donald Trump had arrived at the Tyson Events Center. The note from “The Donald” stated that he would appear next week on a special Thursday night edition of Raw to make a potentially “life-changing proposal” to the WWE Chairman. Mr. McMahon seemed eager to accept, and suggested that Donald Trump may be granted access to join a very special “club”. Which “club” does Mr. McMahon have in mind for the billionaire reality TV star?
For the first time ever, the ECW World Heavyweight Championship was defended on Raw. Bobby Lashley accepted the challenge of a motivated Kenny Dysktra, and made the ECW faithful proud in the process as he disposed of his young opponent with a thunderous Powerslam.
Lashley wasn’t the only Extremist in the building on Monday. By order of Mr. McMahon, ECW Original Balls Mahoney was brought to Raw to face his hand-picked opponent, Umaga. On a mission to extract revenge for the embarrassment Mr. McMahon suffered at the hands of the ECW Originals last week on Sci Fi, the Samoan Bulldozer feasted on Mahoney, punishing him from pillar to post en route to a very impressive victory.
Lashley wasn’t the only champion in action on Raw either. Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy took on his childhood hero, 16-time World Champion and fellow Carolinian Ric Flair, with a very special stipulation on the line. If the “Nature Boy” beat Hardy, he would earn a rematch with the championship on the line at WrestleMania. Unfortunately for Flair, it wasn’t meant to be as Hardy overcame an injury to his knee to surprise Flair with a roll up for the three-count.
Monday was not a good night for Melina and her man, Johnny Nitro. The former Intercontinental Champion was defeated by the red-hot Super Crazy, who used a thrilling Moonsault to seal the deal.
Moments later, Melina challenged Mickie James for the WWE Women’s Championship. Anticipating victory, the devious Diva ordered extra paparazzi to make the trip to Sioux City for Raw to document her first-ever Women’s Title reign. Unfortunately for Melina, the throngs of paparazzi ended up with a roll of photos documenting her defeat, as Mickie James celebrated another successful title defense. A furious Melina ordered Nitro to remove the photographers from the ring as they continued to snap photos of the distraught Diva.
In other Raw action, The World’s Greatest Tag Team & Chris Masters scored a quick victory over Carlito & Cryme Tyme after Shelton rolled up Carlito for the pin. Later in the night, Carlito was lectured by a peeved and pissed Ric Flair, who was angry that Carlito was not taking his role in the business seriously.

Thanks! :) Now, what's your opinion of... "let's just be friends!"? :p I've been on that end of the conversation a few too many times. :(
Though I don't hold the same thoughts behind the experience as expressed by Venis and Big Vis. But it does hurt. Spending time with someone and just as you want to expand on what you have, you get taken down by the "Let's be friends". Or worse, "I've found someone (else) special". But I CAN be friends with people of the opposite sex who just want to be friends.
But I guess it is true that nice guys finish last. Girls/women easilly seem to get comfortable with me. Unfortunately to the point that they soon see me more as their pal/friend rather then something more. Overall not a bad thing, it just puts a damper on things when it happens all the time. Especially when you are like me and just don't get as many oppotunities as you would like.
There is a friends-quote that I seem to identify with alot regarding this subject.
Ross: "I'm not in the 'Friends Zone'!"
Joey: "Ross... You're MAJOR of the 'Friends Zone'!"

Yeah, I understand you. I could say it's the same case for me. Chatting and hanging around some times and as you think you're up for something, she gives out that one phrase that blows your wings up. No more feathers neither wings! Guess that's what happens when you're mister-nice-guy! :(

One of the girls I used to date, who was at that time 'just a colleague' of his, is now married to one of my best friends. They have two kids, and we have become very good friends. The guy is like the brother I never had, so in a way she is now kind of my sister-in-law. Our relation as friends has gotten us to a point I might never had gotten if our relationship did grow into something. It may sound odd, since you guys don't know them, but in this case I was glad we turned out to be 'just friends'. :)

I can understand that. I know pretty much girl friends (not girlfriends) with whom I can easily talk about this and that and that they can do the same without it growing up into something. And some just hook up with another friend of mine or so what. And it makes the ties between us even stronger than what we could have imagine. :)

Recap
Undertaker’s road to WrestleMania 23 has become a one-way street heading straight for Batista and the World Heavyweight Championship.
The Miz was the unfortunate soul who had to face the Deadman on this edition of SmackDown, and after the young Superstar had bragged a few weeks ago about going the distance with Undertaker, The Miz was a marked man.
Undertaker destroyed Miz, and after picking up the victory, he sent an emphatic message to Batista (and to Miz), delivering the Last Ride through the announce table.
At WrestleMania it will be Undertaker’s Streak of 14-0 versus Batista and his World Heavyweight Championship.
The Animal responded to Undertaker’s message by defeating Mr. Kennedy in a Royal Rumble Rematch. The loudmouth tried to psych-out Batista earlier in the night, but in the end, Kennedy could not capitalize.
In just over one week at No Way Out, World Heavyweight Champion Batista will team with Undertaker to face WWE Champion John Cena and his partner, fellow World Tag Team Champion, Shawn Michaels. Can Batista and Undertaker coexist as they head into No Way Out?
Finlay picked up a victory and put an end to the undefeated streak of Boogeyman. Once again, Little Bastard was chased down by Boogeyman, and with the referee turned around, Finlay was able to nail Boogeyman and steal a victory.
General Manager Theodore Long announced a huge Four Team Ladder Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship at No Way Out. The match will include the following teams: WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick, William Regal & Dave Taylor, MNM, and The Hardys.
On SmackDown, two participants in that huge match squared off, as Joey Mercury faced Matt Hardy. In what has become one of the most heated rivalries in SmackDown history, Mercury picked up the victory and injured Hardy’s knee in the process.
Heading toward No Way Out and the Four Team Ladder Match, is Hardy going to be full strength or has Joey Mercury finally achieved his goal of revenge?
WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick were in action against newcomers Deuce and Domino for the second straight week. After the huge upset last week, Deuce and Domino looked to ‘sock ‘em in da mouth’ again.
As SmackDown fans looked on, Deuce and Domino once again defeated the WWE Tag Team Champions. As JBL noted, for the second straight week Deuce and Domino defeated the champions. He then questioned, “why haven’t they received a title shot? Teddy Long, I hope you are watching.”
As much as fans may disagree, JBL may have a point, as the impressive team of Deuce and Domino were left out of the Four Way Ladder Match at No Way Out after their string of impressive victories.
Daivari returned to SmackDown and immediately made an impact by defeating Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms in non-title action. Daivari had been manager to The Great Khali, but looks to strike on his own in the cruiserweight division.
Theodore Long had a very busy night as SmackDown readies for No Way Out. The SmackDown General Manager also made a match between Kane and King Booker, stemming from the fallout of the Royal Rumble. He also signed a match between Finlay and Boogeyman.
In addition to the matches already announced, Long has also decided that No Way Out will host the Diva Talent Invitational, open to all WWE and ECW Divas.
Next week on SmackDown, the beautiful Ashley will unveil her Playboy cover to WWE fans.
Finally, in two weeks, when SmackDown heads to San Diego, former World Champion Rey Mysterio will make his first appearance since being injured months ago by Chavo Guerrero.
Matches

Deuce & Domino def. London & Kendrick (non-title)
Joey Mercury def. Matt Hardy

The matches seems to be boring this week besides the defense of the World Heavyweight Championship by Batista against Mr. Kennedy. Since, I have only seen the video recap on WWE, I can't tell much but it looks like the title is going to change hands at Wrestlemania. As for the Boogeyman, I am disappointed he lost his match by cheat against Finlay. Though, there's one thing I'm looking forward and it's the unveiling of Ashley's Playboy cover. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u303/axljayangel/icon_mrhappy.gif

For Austin, I don't know since during the last half of the nineties, I couldn't follow any bit of wrestling. But as for the Eddie vs. Rey feud, I am surprised to hear you say so. I knew it would be great when it sparked.

I knew it would be great when it sparked. As two competitors they were great. But their story line ruined any hope of a decent match. Their skills were amazing, on paper the matches were great. But the reality was that their matches in the end stunk up the place. The WWE knew this and changed gears to switch Eddy over to a storyline with Batista. Batista had sustained serious back injuries and was supposed to undergo surgery. They had decided that Eddy would win the title from Batista. Unfortunately Eddy passed away before they angle could be played out, and they ended up having Mark Henry "injure" Batista.

Yeah, I can remember that. When I heard the news of his death, I was crushed like the other day when I learned Anna Nicole Smith's passing away. :(
I'm surprised Bam Bam Bigelow's death a few weeks back didn't generate more attention. :(
How would you like to have this (http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/extremists/rebecca/photos/pinkphotos/) at your side!
Although I must admit that although I think that Rebecca may be one of the most beautiful Diva's/Vixxens to date, she's not really my type of girl. I'd be worried I would break her if I was standing too close to her, if you know what I mean. I like women with a bit of fight.

To bad they turned it into an Umanga angle... :(

Yes, indeed. But not in the WWE so they didn't do a tribute show or anything like Eddie. Bet if Eddie wasn't under contract with 'em, they wouldn't make a two show tribute the week following his death. :( When Rick Rude died the WWE/WWF did show a tribute to him, while at that time he was still under contract with the WCW (where he spend 2/3 of his overall wrestling career) at the height of the Monday Night Raws!
The thing that made me sick was that the WCW barely made mention of Rude's passing, save for Curt Hennig pointing to the heavens after his match. However the WCW did dedicate shows and made several tributes when Owen Hart died several weeks later. Not forgetting to mention that he died during a live WWE show and they were still busy trying to cement the deal with Bret Hart at that time. Owen Hart was ushered as a hero in the WCW. Nothing wrong with that, but in total Owen Hart spend barely three months in the WCW before his career took off. Rick Rude was with WCW, in total, for over 10 years, won several championships over the years there, and got zip!

Recap
Challenges were made, gauntlets were thrown and WWE Legends were laid out on a wild and wacky Raw Thursday Night in Portland, Ore.
Donald Trump promised a business proposal for Mr. McMahon, and boy did he deliver. As Raw kicked off, “The Donald” made his way to the ring to speak with the WWE Chairman. After exchanging some “pleasantries” with Mr. McMahon, The Donald shocked the world by challenging Mr. McMahon to a match at WrestleMania 23. The Chairman refused, citing an alleged injury suffered at Unforgiven, but Trump was ready with a counter proposal. It was accepted, and there will be a high-stakes Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania. Trump and McMahon will both select a representative to do battle; if Trump’s representative wins, The Donald will shave Mr. McMahon’s head, but if the Chairman’s pick is victorious, McMahon will shave Trump’s head. Read more…
Raw Thursday Night also saw quite possibly the biggest main event in Raw history. WWE Champion John Cena teamed with World Tag Team Championship partner Shawn Michaels and their No Way Out opponents, Batista & Undertaker, to take on Rated-RKO, Montel Vontavious Porter and Mr. Kennedy. Prior to the match, Edge rallied his team by telling them that the opponents all had something that they should have gotten: a chance to main-event WrestleMania. Meanwhile, when Grisham caught up with Michaels before the match, HBK insinuated that his team of champions would hold it together on Raw before their upcoming battles at No Way Out and WrestleMania 23.
It was a back and forth battle, but when Orton and Undertaker were officially tagged in late in the bout, all hell broke loose. The Deadman tried to clean house, but all eight men ended up battling in the ring. When HBK tried to give Orton some Sweet Chin Music, the Legend Killer ducked and Michaels nearly hit the Phenom. Undertaker grabbed Michaels' foot, but instead of attacking his own partner, he turned to chokeslam MVP. Orton then used the opportunity to shove HBK into the Deadman, sending Undertaker to the floor. While the Legend Killer gloated, however, Michaels tuned up the band; Orton got some Sweet Chin Music, and Michaels scored the winning pinfall.
Once the match was over, though, the team of champions disintegrated. The Phenom re-entered the ring, and after a brief stare down with Michaels, Undertaker viciously chokeslammed him. Cena rushed to his fellow World Tag Team Champion’s aid, but ended up being crushed by a Batista Bomb, and Cena & Michaels were left beaten as the SmackDown duo stood tall. Is this scene a harbinger of things to come at No Way Out, or will the World Tag Team Champions be able score one for Raw?
In front of his hometown crowd, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper made his first Raw appearance since being diagnosed with cancer. Piper received a huge ovation from the WWE fans in Portland, and had the pleasure of introducing the first member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2007: Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes also received a thunderous ovation as he headed to the ring, but before Piper or Rhodes had much of a chance to speak, Umaga hit the scene. When all was said and done, Umaga’s path of destruction included two more victims, as the two Legends were left gasping for air courtesy of a pair of Samoan Spikes. In what may have been the ultimate act of disrespect, the Samoan Bulldozer became a big dark cloud and rained on what should have been a sunny day for both the current and future Hall of Famer. Read more…
Last week, Ric Flair verbally laid into Carlito, telling the young Caribbean Superstar that he was lazy and had no passion. When Flair reiterated those words this week, Carlito showed his passion by challenging Flair to a match. Once inside the ring, the Caribbean Superstar showed a fire that he hasn’t shown in weeks. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to unseat the wily veteran. Moments after the “Nature Boy” used the ropes to avoid Carlito’s Back Cracker, he rolled up the Caribbean Superstar for the three count. Carlito seemed both angry and surprised at his loss, and Flair and the WWE fans feared the worst when he grabbed the “Nature Boy” as he was leaving the ring. Instead of a fight, however, Carlito extended his hand in a gesture of good sportsmanship. He and Flair then shook hands to a nice ovation. Have Flair’s recent words and actions finally helped Carlito turn a corner in his young WWE career?
Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy was in action, taking on Chris Masters. It was a non-title match, but Masters would earn a future title opportunity with a victory. Once he secured the Master Lock on Hardy, it looked as if a golden opportunity was headed his way; instead, after fighting the Master Lock for well over a minute, Hardy was able to maneuver his body over the top rope, which forced Masters to release the hold within the referee’s five-count. When “The Masterpiece” went to suplex Hardy from the apron back into the ring, the champion escaped his clutches and rolled him up, earning the three-count and the victory over the surprised Masters.
Speaking of title opportunities, Melina helped her cause in getting a Women’s Championship Match when she and Johnny Nitro defeated Super Crazy & Women’s Champion Mickie James in a Mixed Tag Team Match. It seemed as if James & Crazy had the match all but sewn up, but Mickie was distracted by watching Nitro send Crazy into the ring post. This gave Melina the opening she needed, allowing her to gouge Mickie’s eyes and pull her down by the hair into a pinning combination for the victory.
Later, Melina in fact did get to announce that she would face James for the gold next week, but her scheduled interviewer never showed up. Just as she asked what could be more important than her, everyone found out; Todd Grisham was actually with Ashley, who gave the WWE fans a sneak peek at her Playboy magazine photo shoot. The video was only one part of the preview, as Ashley will unveil her Playboy cover Friday night on SmackDown.
Also, The Great Khali picked up an impressive victory over Eugene. The Special Superstar offered Khali a stuffed animal as a token of friendship, but the Punjabi monster shrugged it off before making short work of his overmatched opponent.

Recap
With No Way Out just two days away, the Superstars of SmackDown looked to gain momentum heading into the last pay-per-view before WrestleMania 23.
Raw Superstars Edge, Randy Orton, WWE Champion John Cena and Shawn Michaels all were in Seattle for action on SmackDown. This Sunday, Cena & Michaels will team up to face Undertaker & Batista in a huge main event.
World Heavyweight Champion Batista & Undertaker teamed up to face Rated-RKO. The Phenom and The Animal were able to get the victory when Undertaker delivered a Tombstone to Edge.
After getting the win, Batista and Undertaker were laid out by Cena and HBK, payback for the attack the SmackDown duo leveled them with on Raw. Heading into No Way Out, Michaels and Cena seemed to have gotten the best of their opponents on SmackDown.
Earlier in the night, the World Tag Team Champions Cena & Michaels took on Mr. Kennedy & MVP - two young stars hoping to rise up the ladder of WWE. MVP and Kennedy did what they could, but HBK saved his partner from a chair shot, allowing Cena to FU Montel Vontavious Porter for the victory.
Mr. Kennedy immediately went to General Manager Theodore Long to voice his displeasures once more. Long was being visited by former SmackDown Superstar and current ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley, and Kennedy took exception.
When Kennedy pointed out, “I’ve beaten you once before Lashley, and I can do it again,” Lashley became agitated. His friend General Manager Theodore Long contacted ECW officials and the match has been made for this Sunday, where Mr. Kennedy will challenge Bobby Lashley for the ECW World Championship.
Gregory Helms squared off against Scotty 2 Hotty on SmackDown, and as Scotty looked for the Worm, he was attacked by Daivari. This set off a chain reaction which saw Daivari, Scotty 2 Hotty, Funaki, Jamie Noble, Shannon Moore, Jimmy Wang Yang and Chavo Guerrero added to a Cruiserweight Open Match for the Cruiserweight Championship. Can Gregory Helms continue his history making run as Cruiserweight Champion?
WWE Tag Team Champion Brian Kendrick was in singles competition against Deuce. As Kendrick looked to seize momentum, Domino interfered, causing London to come to the aid of his partner. With the refs back turned, Domino shoved Kendrick off the top rope and Deuce hit the Crack ‘Em in Da Mouth for the win.
The team of Deuce & Domino will challenge London & Kendrick for the titles this Sunday, after going above General Manager Theodore Long to get the match made by WWE officials.
King Booker hosted his review of the movie See No Evil starring his No Way Out opponent – Kane. Booker and Sharmell shared a laugh at Kane’s expense and then the King proclaimed, “I do not fear Kane.” When the Big Red Monster appeared, King Booker and Sharmell ran off, and Kane got the last laugh.
The Boogeyman avenged his first loss last week at the hands of Finlay by defeating the Irishman. Little Bastard looked to get involved, but Little Boogeyman appeared and attacked him.
At No Way Out, Boogeyman & Little Boogeyman will face Finlay & Little Bastard in a Mixed Tag Team Match.
In preparation for the Diva Talent Invitational, Kristal and Jillian tried to impress SmackDown’s General Manager. Which Divas will participate come this Sunday at No Way Out?
The lovely Ashley unveiled her Playboy cover, much to the delight of WWE fans.
Finally, next week on SmackDown, Rey Mysterio will make a special appearance in his hometown of San Diego.

I remember when several of the WWE women were on a talkshow and Sable started accusing Chyna about the fact that she had her boob-job done, while she herself had implants done before entering the WWE!
I never really liked Sable anyways. She took a few martial arts lessons, and thought she could wrestle, and when she couldn't she complained about it. According to the reports, she left the WWE the first time because of a practical joke Owen Hart had played on her then started accusing people of many things. Up to the point she tried to sue the WWE. I'm still surprised Vince McMahon took her back twice after that.
Of course, he took the Ultimate moron back several times too... :(

There was a time I was a fan of his. The Ultimate Warrior. I was a fan of his, until he opened up his big yap! James Helwig is the most egocentric person on the planet, plus he can't admit it when he made mistakes and only ends up blaming others.
It all started in the late 80's when he was caught by a cleaning-lady in a hotel using steroids. She thought he was a junky and called the cops on him. It only went downhill from there. Of course he really made me sick when he started making awful remarks about Davey Boy Smith, three days after the bulldog's death. Including that he was glad he was dead, that he deserved to be dead, and was sure he would never meet him in the after life, because he believes he is going to heaven which wouldn't be a place where Smith would be... The SOB was at the core of the reason why Smith broke his back in the WCW, and that was his response when the guy (who in the eyes of most was a hero) passed away.

Oh, I see. I understand now. He wasn't really my favorite wrestler at the time. Mine were Hogan and Bret Hart. My brother used to like the Ultimate Warrior.
I knew they were on and off much but the last I knew, they splitted. They were on and off again several times. Then the married in mid 2006. Seperated in late 2006. Then got back together again. At this moment, I believe they are still married. But then, I never cared much for either of them. So who knows.
Oh, I see. I understand now. He wasn't really my favorite wrestler at the time. Mine were Hogan and Bret Hart. My brother used to like the Ultimate Warrior.Yeah, the Ultimate Dork blamed Davey Boy for the incident in the Hotel. It was Davey Boy's physician that helped Helwig to the steroids. He got caught using them a week before his movie Firepower opened. The movie tanked big time. Most likely because the incident was still so fresh with fans. And as one of the WWF 'Just Say No' spokespersons, fans were very disappointed in him. But he pointed the finger at Davey Boy Smith and the WWF for what he did.
And in a strange twist of fate, Warrior (as he is legally known now) was responsible for Davey Boy Smith breaking his back in the WCW. Warrior had just come out from under some rock and showed up at WCW to challenge Hogan. He used a gimmick that Undertaker was also using in the WWE at that time. Namely to appear out of nowhere in the ring.
This trick is done with a trap door underneath the ring. However, where the technicians at the WWF/WWE made sure the hinches of the door was underneath the ring, the idiots over at WCW made the door with the hinches on top of it. Plus, no one told any of the other wrestlers about this. So early in the night, Davey Boy Smith wrestled against Disco Inferno. Somewhere in the match Inferno bodyslams the bulldog inside the ring. Right on top of the hinches. With the canvas mats on top of it, no one saw it. They wrestled on. Davey Boy even won the match.
Over the following nights Davey Boy was having more and more pains in his back. Several days later he lost feelings in his arms. He went to the doctor and a scan revealed that the imprint of the hinches had cracked/broken his spine. As he went into surgery he even slipped into a coma, and was gone for several months.
In that time the WCW was nice enough to fire Davey Boy Smith, and send him an Fed-Ex'ed letter in which it was more or less said that because he was unable to compete according to his contract, they terminated their agreement. All still while Davey Boy WAS IN COMA!
That all led to him becoming depended on painkillers over the next few years. He got help in the end. And was completely clean when he died in 2002. But because of the abuse to his system in the previous years, his body didn't recognize that he was having a heart attack, until it was too late.
Two days after his death, Warrior made a written statement on his website. In it he stated things like that davey boy smith was weak minded because he fell into the trap of drugs. He, who was caught using steroids accussed the man who was on medicinal pain killers for something that he himself caused! He went on an entire tirade about how it was all his own fault and that he deserved to die and so on.
Over the years I liked him less and less, but that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. If we ever see him again, it is too soon.

Recap
On a hectic night of Raw action, Umaga stole the spotlight when he was named by Mr. McMahon as his representative in the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23 and later went on to decimate Jeff Hardy en route to capturing the Intercontinental Championship. Also, HBK lived up to his promise to watch John Cena’s back, Melina became the new WWE Women’s Champion and Edge punched his ticket to Detroit, all as the Road to WrestleMania blazed a trail through Bakersfield, Calif.
Surrounded by a barber chair and the respective tools of the trade, Mr. McMahon opened Raw by showing WWE fans a blueprint of his plans for Trump’s treasured head of hair. The Chairman unveiled a series of photos, each depicting a different hairstyle which McMahon was considering for "The Donald’s" dome should his representative win in WrestleMania’s Battle of the Billionaires. After promising to “beat the hell out of” Trump, Mr. McMahon revealed the man who will fight on his behalf at WrestleMania, the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga. Next week, Donald Trump will reveal his selection, but can anyone stop Umaga and protect The Donald’s golden locks?
Seconds after he was revealed to be the Chairman’s choice, Umaga was given an opportunity to face Jeff Hardy for the Intercontinental Championship. Perhaps in a display of what he has in store for Trump's representative at Detroit’s Ford Field, Umaga manhandled the popular Superstar. The Bulldozer finished off Hardy with a devastating Samoan Spike, and made the pin to capture his first taste of WWE gold.
"Everybody saw it Amigo," said Armando following Umaga's big night. "The Samoan Bulldozer destroyed Jeff Hardy and became the new champ. Now, he will go to WrestleMania and destroy Donald Trump's representative."
Recently, Shawn Michaels promised John Cena that he would watch his back on the Road to WrestleMania. On Monday night, HBK lived up to his word on two occasions. Early on in the evening, Cena was accosted by everyone’s favorite corpulent male stripper, Big Dick Johnson. It appeared for a few seconds as if the champ was going to vomit, until HBK saved the day by giving the chunky dancer a dose of Sweet Chin Music.
Later, HBK came to Cena’s rescue again during the Raw main event. The Champ faced off with Randy Orton in non-title action. At one point, Cena had Orton up for the FU, and appeared to be seconds away from another victory when Edge stormed the ring and assaulted The Champ, causing the ref to call for a disqualification. For a few moments, Rated-RKO stood over their fallen prey like a pair of starving wolves, salivating at the thought of the damage they could do to the prone WWE Champion. The duo set Cena up for the con-chair-to, but before they could pull the trigger, HBK ran to the ring and took out Rated-RKO with a chair. For another week, Michaels lived up to his promise. Next week, he will be put to the test again when HBK and Cena defend their tag titles against Rated-RKO on Raw.
The Money in the Bank Ladder Match will again be a part of WrestleMania this year. The first man to qualify for this year’s edition is former Money in the Bank winner, Edge. The Rated-R Superstar took advantage of an assist from Randy Orton to defeat last year’s Money in the Bank winner Rob Van Dam and confirm his ticket to WrestleMania. Edge has proven how valuable the opportunity can be. Will he provide a repeat performance?
A new Women’s Champion was crowned on Raw. With the paparazzi surrounding the ring, Melina shocked the Bakersfield fans when she rolled up Mickie for the win to claim her first WWE title. In a post-match interview with Todd Grisham, Melina seemed more interested in complaining about all the recent attention SmackDown Diva Ashley has received over her appearance on the cover of Playboy.
Two weeks ago on Raw, an angry Ric Flair scolded Carlito for his apparent carefree attitude following a loss on Raw. A week ago, the Nature Boy faced Carlito in singles action, and the 16-time World Champion prevailed. Out of respect for Flair, Carlito requested the opportunity to tag with the Nature Boy this week on Raw. The new duo worked together to dispose of the veteran combination of Cade & Murdoch. Is Carlito finally back on track after a lesson from the Nature Boy?
In other Raw action, The Great Khali demolished the Highlanders in a Handicap Match and later told Jonathan Coachman that he wanted some tougher competition.
Matches
Umaga def. Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy
Ric Flair & Carlito def. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch
Edge def. Rob Van Dam in a Money in the Bank qualifying match
Melina def. Women's Champion Mickie James
The Great Khali def. The Highlanders
WWE Champion John Cena def. Randy Orton (DQ)
I would if you say so, although, I'm not too much into the DVDs the WWE do. :o Despite the topic, I would still recommend this one. In the same trend as the Monday Night Raws DVD, it is more about the interviews with some of the guys and it is a piece of history that is at the core. Interviews with Bobby Henan, Ted DiBiase, Hulk Hogan, Edge, Christian, sgt Slaughter, Eric Bisschoff and Vince McMahon and many more, with their own stories make it a must see for any serious fan.

I just know that The Marine sucked ass so bad and that John Cena needs to stay in the WWE and not on movie screens.
Haven't seen the movie yet. I have no problems with Cena. I think his rise to the top came a bit to quick for his own good, but that's about it. As for the Marine, I want to see Robert Patrick! :)

The World Heavyweight Champion Batista has made it clear that he is ready heading into his match with Undertaker at WrestleMania 23.
On SmackDown this week, The Animal explained to WWE fans the reasons for his actions at No Way Out, when he Spinebustered Undertaker, causing the duo to lose their tag team match versus John Cena & Shawn Michaels.
“I cannot apologize for what I did at No Way Out,” said Batista. “Undertaker, we are even. Now we can go on to WrestleMania and give WWE fans a match they’ll never forget.” He continued, “I respect you Undertaker, but I am not intimidated by anyone.”
Batista’s strong message for Undertaker is sure to be answered next week, when the Phenom is scheduled to appear on SmackDown to offer his reply.
Rey Mysterio’s special appearance in his hometown of San Diego and a WWE ring was supposed to be a special moment for the former World Champion. The hometown crowd showered Mysterio with thunderous applause, to which Rey replied, “it feels so good to be in a WWE ring again, but it feels better to be back in my hometown – the 619.”
Rey’s ambitious spirit was evident when he exclaimed to WWE fans, “I wish I could wrestle right here, right now.” Rey continued, “I’ll be back soon, better than ever before.”
Hell-bent on the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23, Mr. McMahon chose this opportunity to steal the spotlight as he entered the arena. He then questioned Rey as to who he thought would win the match in Detroit April 1.
Mysterio responded, “You are a loser Vince,” which sent both the crowd, and the Chairman, into separate frenzies. To the shock of the SmackDown fans at the sold out ipayOne Center, Mr. McMahon introduced Umaga, who entered the ring. Following the direction of the Chairman, Umaga unleashed a horrific attack on Rey, leaving the hometown hero lifeless in the center of the ring. WWE.com will have an update on Rey’s condition tomorrow.
Mr. McMahon sent Donald Trump, and whoever Mr. Trump chooses as his representative, a loud message heading into Monday Night Raw, when Trump will reveal his choice.
King Booker had told WWE.com earlier in the day about his feelings on facing Kane in the first-ever Falls Count Anywhere Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. (Read King Booker's Comments (http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/articles/3663158/kingbookercomments))
In a brutal, personal match stemming from the incidents of Royal Rumble, (where Kane was eliminated by an already eliminated King Booker) Kane looked to have the advantage. However, out of nowhere, Raw Superstar Great Khali appeared.
Khali decimated Kane, throwing The Big Red Monster through the ringside barrier. King Booker took advantage, and walked away with a victory. This victory gives him a spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 23. As Michael Cole pointed out tonight, “on Raw, Khali had told Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman he was looking for some competition, and he may get more than he asked for with The Big Red Monster.”
In other action, Matt Hardy teamed with WWE Tag Team Champion Paul London & Brian Kendrick to take on Joey Mercury with Deuce & Domino.
Still angry over what many consider to be an upset at the hands of London & Kendrick, Deuce & Domino controlled much of the action in this match, looking to make a statement. When Matt Hardy finally entered the ring, the momentum turned, and Hardy was able to pick up the victory by pinning rival Joey Mercury.
Finlay & Little Bastard teamed up again to take on Boogeyman & Little Boogeyman in a No Way Out Rematch. Little Boogeyman delivered a low blow to Finlay during the course of the match, but in the end, after a shillelagh to the Boogeyman’s knee, Boogeyman was Little DDT’d by Little Bastard, who covered Boogeyman for the victory.
The new Cruiserweight Champion – Chavo Guerrero, not a fan favorite in San Diego for putting Rey Mysterio out of action, defeated Scotty 2 Hotty in his first title defense since dethroning Gregory Helms. Chavo stole the victory from Scotty, using the ropes for leverage.
The second inductee to the 2007 WWE Hall of Fame was announced - Mr. Perfect.
Finally, Vickie Guerrero told her friend Kristal that the “little thing that needed to be taken care of, I took care of earlier tonight.” What do Vickie’s words mean for SmackDown?

Recap
The last Raw of February saw secrets revealed and promises kept. After weeks of media attention, Donald Trump finally named his representative who will face Intercontinental Champion Umaga in the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23: ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley.
“Umaga is an animal,” Trump informed WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon from the TitanTron. “And what do you do with animals? You tame them. You find someone or something to tame them. Allow me to introduce you to the man who will be responsible for me shaving your head at WrestleMania.”
And with that, out walked Trump’s representative. Even with dozens of security guards lining the ring, Lashley and Umaga viciously brawled right out the ring. They nearly couldn't be contained, but security was finally able to separate the ECW World Champion and the Samoan Bulldozer.
Mr. McMahon’s night didn’t end there. A member of the WWE Board of Directors phoned the Chairman to inform him that, in order to protect the integrity of the match, a guest referee might be appointed for the Battle of the Billionaires. Mr. McMahon then left the arena for San Jose, Calif., site of ECW on Sci Fi this Tuesday, saying that he would attend ECW to make Bobby Lashley’s life a “living hell.”
There were also some serious head games courtesy of Rated-RKO earlier in the night. Edge & Randy Orton seemed intent on causing dissention in the ranks of the World Tag Team Champions John Cena & Shawn Michaels. After Orton called HBK a liar, he rolled a tape highlighting Michaels’ controversial history dealing with allies.
“Having your back and stabbing you in the back are two entirely different things,” Edge warned a conflicted Cena. And when the four met in the ring later that night, a kick from Michaels intended for Orton came dangerously close to HBK’s partner, the WWE Champion.
But after the referee was knocked out, HBK slammed Edge with the World Tag Team Championship and then tossed it to Orton. Thinking his own partner attacked him, Edge left the Legend Killer alone in the ring, where some Sweet Chin Music from Michaels and an FU from Cena helped the World Tag Team Champions retain their titles.
Only a week after losing the Intercontinental Championship to Umaga, an undeterred Jeff Hardy defeated Shelton Benjamin in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. Hardy will join King Booker, CM Punk, Edge and four other yet-to-be-determined Superstars in the annual Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 23, where the winner will earn a guaranteed opportunity at the World Championship of their choice.
“It’s a real positive rush for me,” Hardy told WWE.com moments after the win. “Ladder Matches are my comfort zone, and to compete in one at WrestleMania is a dream-like position for me to be in.”
The Great Khali, meanwhile, may have placed himself in a les enviable position after wanting to take the Master Lock Challenge Monday night. Before Chris Masters could even apply the maneuver, both men were attacked by SmackDown’s Kane. The Big Red Monster seemed intent to pay Khali back for the Punjabi Warrior's interference on Friday Night SmackDown, which cost Kane his chance to participate in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Is another brawl between these two monsters inevitable?
In other Raw action, Carlito once again impressed Ric Flair by pinning Kenny Dykstra. Two weeks ago on Raw, the "Nature Boy" admonished Carlito for lacking passion. Out of respect, Carlito asked to team with Flair, and the two defeated Cade & Murdoch last week. After Carlito’s win, the "Nature Boy" applauded from the ramp.
WWE Fans, meanwhile, saw no reason to cheer for Johnny Nitro, who destroyed Super Crazy before their match even began. Prior to the bout, Melina was ranting about various things when Nitro told her off, saying he needed to blow off some major steam. He did just that, beating Super Crazy so badly that their match never actually happened.
One of the things Melina was upset about was her match next week; thanks to a rematch clause, Mickie James will face the Women's Champion in a Falls Count Anywhere Match for the gold. Inside the ring this week, however, that didn't seem to faze Melina; despite putting up a valiant effort, Maria was no match for the Women's Champion. But what will happen when Melina is face-to-face with Mickie James again next week?
Also, Raw color commentator Jerry "The King" Lawler was given the ultimate reward for his contributions to sports-entertainment when he was announced as the latest member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2007. Congratulations, King.
Matches

Women's Champion Melina def. Maria (Non-title match)

I don't see Umaga going against Khali although it would be a hell of a match. Why? Because Umaga is simply smaller than Khali. I find it better that Khali messes up with Kane as both of them are tough and as bad as the other. Umaga may be tough but he's not bad. He's just a puppet being used by Estrada and McMahon. I would bet with you that in the future, he will be a good guy. He's some kind of like Eugene in contrary of Khali. Anyway, who do you think we will see shaved after WM23? For some reasons, I would say Vince even if Lashley loses the match to Umaga. :D

We have yet to the them test themselves. Putting them against bigger names won't help them at this stage. By going against each other at something like WM23, they could have solidified themselves, win or lose.
Kane doesn't need any of this. Lashley is the ECW champ. At a WrestleMania, he should be defending his title, not someone else's honor. Besides, you know that Lashley is going to win now. Between Donald Trump and Vince McMahon, only Vince McMahon is willing to shave himself bald. Especially since he knows that people are willing to buy tickets just to see it happen. I'd say there is at least a 90% chance of seeing a Stone Cold Vince Austin on April 1st. :p

WHAT!!! :D
I have to say that I agree with you for Umaga and Khali but pitting both of them right now would be too soon as both of them are needing competition against older guys like Kane. Why? Because their hate can then become popularity. It's like Kane. He was once hated because he was a bad guy, but now, whatever he do, he is cheered bad or not. :)

Bet it wasn't that interesting to join up, was it? :) Not for me no... I'm not much for chatting there. And the other stuff like the Fantasy game is really more geared towards U.S.residents. :(
I just now caught the Ashley vs Jillian match from the Smackdown that will air later tonight in the U.S. I love wrestling, and mostly because of the entertainment value. But if there is one things of the Entertainment part of it that I dislike, it is when the talented need to take dives for the less talented.
I have nothing against Ashley personally, but she does not belong in the ring as a wrestler. She's clumsey, doesn't know how to move and still need to learn the basic holds. Yet Jillian Hall, who has been working on her craft since 1998, had to take a dive. Most likely to promote Ashley, because of her new Playboy-cover status.
But watch the match. She kept to the script, but did she ever clobber Ashley for real a few times. I don't think she did it out of bad blood. But just a reminder what the real women wrestlers do outthere. ;)

Besides them modeling, I don't watch their matches anymore since long not even small vid recaps. The only ones I used to watch were Trish's and sometimes Mickie's. Though Lita can wrestle, she's just not my type.

Mickie James, Melina, Jillian Hall and Victoria. Problem is, Mickie James is taking it a bit more easy, since she is also working on her college education as well as preparing to getting married (although I don't think they have picked a date yet). Melina may be the champion at this time, but she said long ago that her priorities are more with her long-time boyfriend Nitro then with being in the ring herself. It may even be that she still has back injuries from her pre-WWE days. Jillian Hall has the talent and the experience, but to date has yet to really show it in the WWE. The only real wrestler left is Victoria, but she still has two bad wheels! :(

That's the problem! And I don't understand why the WWE or McMahon doesn't do anything. He must know that what fans really want are Divas that can truly wrestle. Not some eyecandy Divas only. They can have two or three like Lillian Garcia to announce the matches and a couple backstage for the interviews and all but that's it. After that, it would be better to have "wrestlers" than "divas". If the "wrestlers" are pretty like Trish, then great!

Well, Maria and Candice are sincere about trying to learn real wrestling as their craft. But while they are getting along there, they are not there yet. And the Diva Contest is meant to bring in some fresh new talent. Only if you put Ashley in the team of judges... Her idea of what a diva should be, is not one that really should be... The fact that we came out with that dud Leyla is proof of that. Nevermind that she's trying to upstage the other two girls each week on ECW, while it was supposed to be Kelly's thing, not hers. Not to mention that that is the most boring part of ECW these days. It's like looking at something thrown together at an teenage slumber party, instead of Dance piece suited for the larger audience... Let Michaels get his wife out there, and teach these little girls how to move. Or get Stacy back. Not her style of dance, but least what Stacy does you know is dancing!

Yeah, definitely! They would do something for a change. Besides Candice and Maria (recently), none of the newest Divas are worth the watch. I really miss Trish and Stacy because besides Mickie that I like, there's no one else. Victoria is out of competition, Melina is not in it, etc... :(

They had a great bunch of diva's, some for show some to wrestle, but put all their effort in building them for the long haul, just like the guys. But unlike the guys, if they want to start a family they can still go on the road. That is something that is very hard to do for the women if they want to get their families started. Miss Jacky, Jacqueline, Ivory, Lita, Trish, Stephanie, Dawn Marie, they all left to start a family of their own. Unlike most other proffessions, it is very difficult for women to get back into it after you have left for a longer period of time and didn't keep up your training. Not just because of the physical aspects, but also getting back on the road.

Recap
Batista last week told Undertaker and WWE fans, "I am not intimidated by anyone." The Animal may be rethinking that statement after seeing the response of his WrestleMania 23 opponent, Undertaker, on The CW Network’s No. 1 rated show - SmackDown.
The Phenom sent an ominous message of his own this week to the World Heavyweight Champion - Batista. While The Animal stood in the center of the ring reiterating his comments from last week, the champion was interrupted when the sold-out HP Pavilion arena in San Jose, Calif. went dark, and Undertaker was shown standing in a cemetery, digging a grave.
"Batista, for some, WrestleMania is heaven on earth, but for you it is going to be hell," said Undertaker. "At WrestleMania, your reign as champion will rest in peace."
The World Heavyweight Champion Batista was left speechless by the actions and words of Undertaker. For those who have followed the amazing 14-0 undefeated streak of Undertaker at WrestleMania, this message could be one the Phenom delivers on April 1 in Detroit.
Mr. McMahon arrived at SmackDown to brag about the beating he ordered Umaga to administer last week to an already injured Rey Mysterio. ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley made his way out and Mr. McMahon attempted to offer Lashley a way out of his obligations to Donald Trump in the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23, even offering the ECW Champion double what Trump was paying him.
Lashley refused, saying, "it was an honor to be chosen by Donald Trump.” He continued, “it will be a privilege to compete at WrestleMania and it will be my pleasure to defeat Umaga (McMahon’s representative)," Mr. McMahon became irate. The Chairman then slapped ECW’s World Champion, and when Lashley snapped back and stared at him, Mr. McMahon ducked out of the ring, the arena and San Jose.
Before he made it out of San Jose, Mr. Kennedy approached Mr. McMahon and asked for a title opportunity against Bobby Lashley. Mr. McMahon granted the request, and added the rules that Mr. Kennedy could not be disqualified or counted out, but Lashley could.
A confident Kennedy did all he could in the match to win his first world title, but even with the odds against him, Bobby Lashley defeated Kennedy to retain his ECW World Championship.
The Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 23 had two more qualifying matches on SmackDown, with Matt Hardy facing Joey Mercury in the first contest. Hardy and Mercury have had a heated rivalry since the beginning of December of ‘06, and the personal brutality continued between the two Superstars. When Mercury looked to finish Hardy off with a high risk maneuver, Hardy countered, and delivered a Twist of Fate from the ropes to get the victory.
King Booker, who qualified last week by defeating Kane in the first-ever Falls Count Anywhere Qualifying Match, sat ringside on commentary for this contest, getting a first-hand look at his competition for WrestleMania 23.
In the second qualifying match, United States Champion Chris Benoit competed in the first-ever Triple Threat Qualifying Match against MVP and Finlay.
Before the match began, Finlay berated SmackDown announcer Michael Cole for referring to Hornswoggle by any other name. It could have been that fire that lit Finlay. In a physically brutal match between the three men, Finlay was able to get the victory when Hornswoggle distracted the ref, allowing the Irishman to use the shillelagh on both opponents and qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 23.
There are now 7 known participants in the match April 1 in Detroit - Jeff Hardy, Edge, Matt Hardy, Finlay, King Booker, CM Punk and Mr. Kennedy. Who will be the last Superstar in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match?
Jimmy Wang Yang, Shannon Moore and Scotty 2 Hotty squared off against Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero, former champion Gregory Helms and Daivari. The action was fast-paced and high-flying, and Jimmy Wang Yang was able to get the win for his team when he pinned Daivari after a Moonsault.
Ashley, the April Playboy cover girl, defeated Jillian in a Diva match. While the beautiful Ashley is treating WWE fans with her pulse-pounding, upcoming Playboy appearance, Jillian is making ears bleed in arenas around the world.
Finally, Jerry "The King" Lawler has been announced as the newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.

In front of a sold-out crowd of 15,792 WWE fans, the Texas Rattlesnake arrived in the Arizona desert. The U.S. Airways Center exploded as Stone Cold Steve Austin entered the ring, officially announced as the man who will act as special guest referee in the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23.
Mr. McMahon was dumbfounded as Eric Bischoff, Mick Foley and even Shane McMahon entered the ring to reveal that they were not elected by the WWE Board of Directors as special guest referee. That’s when the Rattlesnake struck. In true Stone Cold style, Austin chugged brews and gave the Chairman a complimentary beer bath. With one billionaire’s hair on the line at WrestleMania, will Austin remain impartial? Or, will the desire to see his old nemesis shaved bald skew Stone Cold’s judgment when ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley faces Umaga in less than a month?
Earlier, the wild night began with World Tag Team Champions Shawn Michaels and John Cena in the locker room area. The tension in the air was palpable as HBK laid it all out for the WWE Champion.
“I will have your back until WrestleMania… I’ve turned against all my partners and more importantly, I’ve stabbed all my friends in the back. But with you, John, it’s different.”
After HBK told Cena he didn’t need his help in his match that night, the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship entered the ring to face Randy Orton. Moments after HBK rolled Orton up for the win, Edge entered the ring to watch the Legend Killer treat Michaels to an RKO on a steel chair. In the blink of an eye, down the ramp came John Cena who cleared the ring and saved his tag team partner.
The night was not over for Cena. Orton told Edge that he would not have his back during the Rated-R Superstar’s match with The Champ, and after Edge refused to compete in the main event due to some excuse about Arizona being the last state in the union to recognize Martin Luther King Day, Johnny Nitro stepped up in his place. Just as it looked like Cena had gotten the best of the A-lister, Joey Mercury interrupted the contest. Soon Edge and both male members of MNM were attacking the WWE Champion. Just then, Shawn Michaels blasted down the ramp -- stopping just short of the ring. After almost leaving, HBK seemed to have a change of heart and entered the fray to save Cena. Was Michaels about to leave his tag team hanging out to dry?
In the first-ever Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Women’s Championship, Mickie James battled current Women’s Champion Melina in the ring, around the ring and even inside the Diva locker room! When the dust finally settled, Melina pinned Mickie to retain her title. But after Melina verbally attacked guest ring announcer Ashley, the future Playboy cover girl knocked Melina on her butt.
In what was meant to be the final Money in the Bank Qualifying match, Carlito faced Ric Flair, who recently became almost a coach to the Southpaw from San Juan. Before the match ended, The Great Khali stormed in and laid both Superstars out. In broken English, the behemoth screamed: “I want Kane!” Will Flair and Carlito get another opportunity to qualify for a trip to WrestleMania or will the last spot go to someone else? Will Khali get his wish?
Also on Raw, the brutal Intercontinental Champion Umaga once again bulldozed fan-favorite Jeff Hardy. Can even the powerful Bobby Lashley defeat this savage? Later, amidst chants of “U.S.A.,” Hacksaw Jim Duggan failed to break Chris Masters’ legendary hold in the Master Lock Challenge, and before the night ended, Nick Bockwinkel was announced as the newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2007.

Also, it seems that the tag team Cena-Michaels is having a dramatic turn on Raw yesterday. Wonder how it's going to be in the following weeks. I'm afraid that MNM is going to win back the tag team titles unless it's Edge and Orton but I doubt it. :)

Recap
With just 23 days left until WrestleMania, SmackDown’s Superstars have all begun to assert themselves, looking to gain any advantage heading toward the biggest event of the year.
The World Heavyweight Champion Batista is at the top of his game as he heads into a showdown with Undertaker. Last week, Undertaker began his mind games, and Batista responded on SmackDown when he claimed, “I am walking into WrestleMania 23 the World Heavyweight Champion, and I am walking out the World Heavyweight Champion,” he continued. “I will end the streak.”
The Animal then said, “tonight I will face Kane – Undertaker’s sick, twisted, demented brother.” When Batista and the Big Red Monster collided, the two forces in the ring looked to feel each other out, and in the end, The Animal was able to Batista Bomb Kane to pick up a hard fought victory. With the win, the World Heavyweight Champion may have learned what he needs to do when he is face-to-face with the title on the line against Undertaker on April 1.
After his defeat, as Kristal was interviewing him, Kane was attacked by Great Khali. Raw’s Khali has been stalking Kane for weeks now, and this was a clear message to the Big Red Monster.
The Phenom was also in action as he took on Finlay. The Irishman earlier had said, “there is no fear in Irish eyes,” and he showed how much he loved to fight as he went straight for Undertaker. Not to be outdone, Undertaker fought back and took control, until Hornswoggle found his way into the match. With the referee distracted, Finlay nailed Undertaker with the shillelagh, but the Phenom kicked out of the pinfall.
As Michael Cole pointed out, “Undertaker is in great shape,” which helped as the Deadman delivered a Tombstone to defeat Finlay. After the match, Batista stood in the ramp and the two Superstars had a stare down. When Batista gave the familiar signal of thumbs-down, Undertaker responded with his legendary throat slash. In 23 days, who will walk out of WrestleMania the World Heavyweight Champion?
Four of the eight Money in the Bank Ladder Match Qualifiers were in action against each other as Matt Hardy faced King Booker while Mr. Kennedy took on ECW’s CM Punk.
In the first match-up, King Booker defeated Matt Hardy when Queen Sharmell, (who had been on commentary), interfered, allowing Booker to hit the Scissors Kick for the win.
When Kennedy took on Punk, the “future of sports-entertainment” was highly impressive as he pinned and defeated the Straightedge Superstar.
As the Road to WrestleMania narrows, all four of these Superstars are jockeying for position as they each look to establish any dominance heading into the innovative Money in the Bank Ladder Match. With the winner of that match getting the opportunity to challenge for a World Title when they see fit, the stakes could not be any higher for the participants.
Miz TV debuted, and Miz’s first guest was SmackDown Diva Ashley, who will grace the cover of Playboy this Monday! The SmackDown beauty thought she was on Miz TV to talk about her experience posing for the magazine, but Miz revealed he had another guest, WWE Women’s Champion Melina.
Melina has been insanely jealous of the attention Ashley has been getting as of late, and she was at the sold-out Tucson Convention Center in Tucson, Ariz. Melina complained, “I should be getting the attention, people would kill to see me in Playboy, but they have to settle for you.” As the Women’s Champion Melina looks to earn the respect of WWE fans, Ashley is receiving nothing but love.
Finally, Montel Vontavious Porter disrupted General Manager Theodore Long while he was on his computer, and demanded that he receive a United States Championship opportunity versus the champion Chris Benoit at WrestleMania. MVP angrily spoke to Long, saying, “stop looking at the Daily Diva on WWE.com Teddy.”
Long responded, telling MVP, “I’m still the General Manager of SmackDown, and I will take your request under consideration.”
What will Long’s response be to MVP? What will happen next week between Undertaker and Batista?

In an unbelievable turn of events in front of 14,740 WWE fans in Washington, D.C., Raw went off the air with Donald Trump laying Mr. McMahon out right on his billion dollar backside.
With Trump, Mr. McMahon, ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley, Intercontinental Champion Umaga, Armando Estrada and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin all in one ring for the Battle of the Billionaires contract signing, tensions were understandably high. But who would have guessed that it would be Trump who would make the first move by shoving the WWE Chairman right over a table? Trump seemed very confident with his choice of Bobby Lashley, who will act as his representative in what will no doubt be one of the most exciting WrestleMania matches of all time.
When the night first got under way, a confrontation between World Tag Team Champions John Cena and Shawn Michael lit up the Verizon Center. With Cena still wary of a double-cross by HBK, the two Superstars looked ready to brawl when Jonathan Coachman arrived to inform them of what he had in store for them later in the night. With Mr. McMahon busy preparing for the Battle of the Billionaires contract signing, Coachman decided to pit Cena and HBK against three other tag teams in a Gauntlet Match that would end inside a steel cage!
After disposing of The World’s Greatest Tag Team and Cade & Murdoch, a kick from HBK got a little too close for comfort for John Cena. As the 15-foot steel cage lowered onto the ring, the World Tag Team Champions were staring daggers. MNM stepped into the ring next and put up quite a fight. After Cena gave Joey Mercury an FU and the cage was lifted, all eight competitors mixed it up in a burly free-for-all. Suddenly, Cena swung a chair, HBK ducked to avoid it, and it landed hard on Charlie Haas. Some say if Cena had wanted to hit Michaels with the chair he would have done it, while others say Cena was just waiting for the right moment to strike. With two weeks left until WrestleMania, only time will tell.
WWE fans were on their feet as The Rock delivered a message via the Titan Tron. After revealing Umaga’s name is Samoan for “shriveled up monkey penis,” the Most Electrifying Superstar in sports-entertainment had a statement for Mr. McMahon: “You will get your head shaved bald at WrestleMania, Vince. That is a guaran-damn-tee.”
Randy Orton claimed the final spot in WrestleMania’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match by eliminating both Carlito and Ric Flair during a Triple Threat Qualifying Match. Although the fact that the match involved eliminations was a surprise to all, Orton was able to deliver two devastating RKOs and smoothly roll with the punches (literally).
Orton’s Rated-RKO partner and fellow WrestleMania competitor was up to his old tricks. In one night, Edge managed to back his way out of a match with Jeff Hardy (claiming he wouldn’t perform in a city whose football team was callously named the Redskins), arrange for Randy Orton to face ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley, and get into a heated face-off with third generation Superstar Orton. In lieu of competing in his match, Edge brought out a worthy competitor for Hardy, The Great Khali!
Last week on Raw, Khali stormed into the arena and shouted, “I want Kane!” Later on SmackDown, the Punjabi monster split Kane open in a locker room area ambush. The tension obviously got to the demented Kane, who entered the Verizon Center this week with his eyes on Khali. With hook and chain in hand, Kane looked frighteningly like his character Jacob Goodnight from See No Evil. Kane used his hook to topple the announce table in an effort to make his message clear. As J.R. so eloquently put it, “Kane wants to get his hooks in Khali!”
In other Raw action, Chris Masters demanded a challenger to compete in his Master Lock Challenge. When no one stepped up, Masters decided he would like to lock it up with Lilian Garcia. Just then, Super Crazy rushed in to rescue the beautiful Raw ring announcer. All too soon, Super Crazy became another victim of the Master Lock, which has yet to be officially broken.
Also, Women’s Champion Melina defeated Torrie Wilson in a non-title match. After Melina picked up the victory, she took a cheap shot on Torrie that brought Mickie James (and later Victoria) rushing to the ring. When Melina’s WrestleMania opponent and current Playboy cover girl, Ashley, showed up, the scene looked like an impromptu Diva Lumber Jill Match had broken out.

I don't know why but it seems to me that McMahon is already bald and that he is wearing a wig. :p
Also, I loved when Stone Cold asked McMahon if he had problems with bald headed people and that Lashley stared him down, while he was smiling before. :D
Between Michaels and Cena, the ropes are getting thinner and thinner. Two weeks left before Wrestlemania. Wonder what's in store for us with their storyline. :)

Yeah, that's true! Not only that, but I have the feeling that they can't come up with a "good" feud between teams like they did in the nineties. :(

With just over two weeks remaining until WrestleMania 23, the tension between World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Undertaker is at a boiling point.
Batista began his night as a guest on Miz TV, and after The Miz insulted Batista by saying, “I don’t think you can stop Undertaker,” the young SmackDown Superstar played an early April Fool’s joke on The Animal, having paid someone to turn out the lights and play Undertaker’s music. The World Heavyweight Champion was not amused, and had the last laugh, delivering an explosive Batista Bomb.
Later in the night, Batista sat ringside on commentary as Undertaker faced King Booker in one-on-one action.
With Undertaker poised to capture a victory, Finlay interfered with the shillelagh, and he and Booker double-teamed the Phenom as Batista looked on. Undertaker fought back and dismantled Finlay and King Booker, and then threw the Irishman into Batista.
After laying King Booker out, Undertaker walked his way up the ramp and turned to see an angry Batista staring from the ring. In 16 days at WrestleMania 23, these two Superstars will square off for the richest prize in sports-entertainment – the World Heavyweight Championship.
MVP will also be seeking a championship on April 1 as he goes up against United States Champion Chris Benoit. Porter defeated El Grande Latte with the Playmaker, and continued to berate Benoit, even labeling him as a coward. General Manager Theodore Long then granted the cocky MVP his WrestleMania wish. Benoit made his way out and brawled with MVP, looking to apply the Crossface. If Benoit is able to get MVP in his clutches at Ford Field, Porter’s wish may become a nightmare.
Mr. Kennedy and Matt Hardy, two of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match participants at WrestleMania, were in action against each other. Kennedy still claims to be “the future of sports-entertainment,” but Hardy is hoping to assert his own legacy.
While Kennedy claimed prior to the match that nobody would stop his ascension up the ladder at WrestleMania, Matt Hardy stopped the loudmouth on this night. Hardy defeated Kennedy with the Twist of Fate, as he continues to build momentum heading into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Kane sent a clear message to The Great Khali, as he destroyed Daivari and then dragged his opponent out of the arena with a hook. Last week, Kane was referred to as demented, twisted, and sick. This week, the Big Red Monster showed WWE fans just how far he will take his battle with Khali, bringing flashbacks to his movie See No Evil.
WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick teamed with Playboy cover girl Ashley to take on MNM in a Six-Person Tag Match. London and Kendrick have become the fourth longest Tag Champions in WWE history, holding the titles for 300 days. Nitro, Mercury and Women’s Champion Melina stole the victory from the high-octane trio after Melina interfered. After the match, Ashley and Melina fought outside the ring until being separated by their teams. As Ashley and Melina head toward a showdown at WrestleMania, this personal and bitter rivalry is becoming as hot as the two Divas.
Hornswoggle, SmackDown’s leprechaun, wished all WWE fans a very happy St. Patrick’s Day, but was met with screams when he requested Queen Sharmell, “Kiss me, I’m Irish.”
Finally, Mr. Fuji was announced as the latest inductee into WWE’s Hall of Fame, joining the Class of 2007.
Just 16 days remain until April 1, when WWE fans will pack Ford Field in Detroit for WrestleMania 23. Be sure to tune into SmackDown each and every Friday as the Road to WrestleMania continues on The CW Network.

I'm my opinion one of, if not THE greatest match of all time. That match was one of the reasons my best friend and I wanted to persue a career in wrestling after we graduated. Unfortunately, I had this stupid injury I got during gym class which damaged my knees and back, and I never even got the chance to step in a ring to even get a first lesson... And since wrestling in the Netherlands is really small (and still is), there isn't a way to break into it as something else like a manager or something. :(

With less than two weeks left before the biggest night in sports-entertainment, WWE fans witnessed an exciting WrestleMania Reversal Match, Mr. McMahon making a huge announcement and Eugene getting an unwanted haircut, all live from Indianapolis.
Although both World Tag Team Champions had scheduled WrestleMania Reversal Matches (where they would face one of their partner’s past WrestleMania foes), only WWE Champion John Cena’s opponent was ready to step in the ring. Shawn Michaels arrived prepared to face SmackDown color commentator JBL, who two years ago had battled John Cena at WrestleMania 21. But JBL backed out of the competition, claiming: “If I come out of retirement it will be my choosing, my rules and in my town, New York City.” The Armani-clad Layfield continued, “Deep down, you can’t beat John Cena. You make me sick!” HBK responded with some devastating Sweet Chin Music that laid JBL out cold.
Meanwhile, Cena, would square off against HBK’s WrestleMania XX opponent, United States Champion Chris Benoit. In an incredible match that stretched Cena’s sheer power and Benoit’s extraordinary technical skills to the limits, the WWE Champion got the upper hand and forced the Rabid Wolverine to tap out to the STFU. Moments after Cena’s victory, guest commentator HBK entered the ring and tuned up the band to prep a kick that sent his partner a clear message: I can take you down anytime I want. Never one to be outdone, The Champ hoisted Michaels up on his shoulders but released him before delivering his trademark FU. These two competitors seem to have each other’s number, and their match at WrestleMania is sure to be nothing short of legendary.
Mr. McMahon’s night got off to a rough start when Eugene bumped into him, dousing The Chairman with a cold drink. In retaliation, The Chairman scheduled a match pitting Eugene against the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga. After a thunderous Samoan Spike helped Umaga pick up the three-count, Mr. McMahon had Eugene strapped to a barber’s chair, then proceeded to shave the poor guy’s head while screaming, “This is going to happen to you, Donald Trump!”
In a shocking announcement, The Chairman later set up a match up for next week on Raw: ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley will face none other than Mr. McMahon himself!
Mr. McMahon was angered when Lashley became the first Superstar to officially break Chris Masters’ powerful Master Lock. After defeating every challenger for over two years, Masters seemed to be in a state of shock after Lashley muscled his way out of the Master Lock Challenge. Mr. McMahon rewarded Trump’s WrestleMania representative with a trip out of the arena courtesy of the WWE security staff.
The tensions between former World Tag Team Champions Edge & Randy Orton rose to new heights this week. After Edge hung Orton out to dry last week in a match against Bobby Lashley on ECW, Orton arranged for Edge to defend his spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania in a 10-man Battle Royal.
At the beginning of the match, Edge seemed to injure his knee and had to be removed from the contest. In an ironic turn of events, the final two Superstars in the ring ended up being Carlito and Ric Flair. Although Flair has served as almost a mentor to the Southpaw from San Juan, the “Dirtiest Player in the Game" had no problem eliminating the younger man. While Flair celebrated, Edge stepped back into the ring to eliminate him and reclaim his spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Edge celebrated with a victory dance, leading many to speculate that his “injury” was just a trick to help him win the contest.
Also on Raw, Jeff Hardy defeated fellow Money in the Bank Ladder Match competitor Randy Orton by disqualification. Edge slid a ladder into the ring, and Orton slammed it into Hardy’s midsection drawing the disqualification. Edge then backed away, leaving Orton at the mercy of a vicious leg drop from Hardy off the top of the ladder.
Meanwhile, Women’s Champion Melina defeated Candice Michelle in a Bra and Panties Match, but was quickly disrobed by her WrestleMania opponent, Ashley. After a surprise attack by Melina left Ashley sprawled out in the ring, The Great Khali entered and would have Chokeslammed the Diva had Jerry “The King” Lawler not come to her aid. Unfortunately for Lawler, he received the brunt of Khali’s attack and had to receive medical attention. Khali’s rage of late has been directed at Kane, who he will meet at WrestleMania 23.

Only nine days remain until WrestleMania 23 in Detroit, and the Superstars of SmackDown continue to build their own momentum heading into the biggest event of the year.
World Heavyweight Champion Batista told Kristal, “Undertaker and I can co-exist tonight during the match, but after the match it’s a different story,” he said. “I will walk out of WrestleMania still the World Heavyweight Champion.”
The Animal was scheduled to team with his WrestleMania opponent Undertaker to take on King Booker and Finlay, but was attacked from behind, leaving Undertaker to face the former United States Champion Finlay and former World Heavyweight Champion King Booker alone.
Undertaker seemed to be firmly in control, but Finlay used the shillelagh, causing the disqualification and allowing the Irishman and King Booker to double team the Phenom. The Animal rushed to the ring to aid Undertaker, and they looked to be working together to dismantle Finlay and Booker. However, moments later Batista launched King Booker into Undertaker, undoubtedly payback for last week when Undertaker tossed Finlay into the World Heavyweight Champion.
As Michael Cole noted when SmackDown went off the air, “the animosity between Undertaker and Batista is heating up.” He then questioned, “will the action be even hotter in the tag match this Monday on Raw and will it reach a boiling point next week on SmackDown?”
Next week, WrestleMania 23 will be just two days away, and WWE fans are in for a treat. General Manager Theodore Long has granted JBL his request to host the biggest interview in sports-entertainment history – Undertaker and Batista face-to-face.
Mr. McMahon began SmackDown gloating about the “vivid message” he sent to Donald Trump when he shaved Eugene’s head on Raw. Mr. McMahon then went on to guarantee a victory Monday night when he faces ECW World Champion Lashley.
The Chairman then made a match for SmackDown that pitted Lashley in a Handicap Tables Match against Mr. Kennedy and Randy Orton, the first Tables Match of any kind on WWE television in two years.
With the odds stacked highly against him, Lashley was able to overpower his opponents to get the victory by putting Kennedy and Orton through tables, much to the disgust of Mr. McMahon. Lashley is on a roll. Monday he became the first man to break the Masterlock, Tuesday he defeated Chris Masters on ECW on Sci Fi, and on SmackDown he prevailed in the Handicap Tables Match. What will happen Monday night when he faces the Chairman?
WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick defeated MNM after Ashley prevented Melina from interfering. London & Kendrick have held the titles for 307 days, and they continued to show why they are champions.
Playboy cover girl Ashley and Women’s Champion Melina continued their personal rivalry, one that has included a brutal war of words on WWE.com. The two Divas are on a crash course for Melina’s Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 23, and each looks to establish themselves as the top Diva in WWE.
MVP was victorious in his match against the Lichtenstein Champion – Cedrick Von Haussen. The cocky and confident Superstar then claimed that United States Champion Chris Benoit would make history as the first man to lose a title to Montel Vontavious Porter. MVP may be looking to win the title, but if he overlooks the Rabid Wolverine, he might be left holding fool’s gold.
Kane told Kristal, “all the way,” is how far he is willing to go in his match versus Khali at WrestleMania. Can Ford Field contain these two behemoths?
Jimmy Wang Yang defeated Cruiserweight Champion of the World Chavo Guerrero in non-title action. Guerrero looked dominant for most of the match, but Yang was able to bounce back to get the hard-earned victory.
The trailer for The Condemned, starring “Stone Cold” Steve Austin debuted on SmackDown. Can Hollywood handle the Rattlesnake?
The Wild Samoans were announced as the next inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2007, joining an impressive list of former greats being honored at this years ceremony.
Finally, it looks as if General Manager Theodore Long is smitten with a certain Diva, even handing her a rose on this edition of SmackDown.

Recap
In front of an excited and enthusiastic capacity crowd of 15,146, the final Raw before WrestleMania emanated from the home of last year’s ‘Mania. Six nights before the biggest event in sports-entertainment rolls into Detroit, WWE fans witnessed partnerships collapse, champions pinned and some Sweet Chin Music that will echo throughout the halls of Chicago's Allstate Arena for a long, long time.
After months of tension between World Tag Team Champions and WrestleMania opponents Shawn Michaels & WWE Champion John Cena, HBK stayed true to his promise that any Sweet Chin Music he delivered, Cena would never see coming. The World Tag Team Champions then stepped into the ring to face World Heavyweight Champion Batista & Undertaker in a No Way Out rematch. As The Deadman tossed HBK at The Animal, it looked like Cena and HBK’s double team would lead them to victory. After the two Superstars delivered a unified five-knuckle shuffle, The Showstopper dropped Cena with a powerful kick to the head. After Batista covered Cena to pick up the win, Michaels ended the confrontation with a few quick DX crotch chops. What kind of action awaits WWE fans when Cena and HBK meet on the grandest stage of them all in six short nights?
Another promise was kept as Mr. McMahon lived up to last week's "guaran-damn-tee" that he would pin ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley when they met in the ring. Mr. McMahon’s Executive Assistant, Jonathan Coachman, announced that the match would fall under No Disqualification rules and any “unauthorized” interference would result in a fine and suspension. That gave the Chairman the upper hand by “authorizing” Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch, Chris Masters, Johnny Nitro and even the Intercontinental Champion Umaga to attack Lashley. A low blow from Mr. McMahon would help Umaga bring down the ECW World Champion, enabling the Chairman to pin him not once, but twice! Worse, it appears Mr. McMahon's representative may have the clear-cut edge over Donald Trump’s representative Bobby Lashley in the first-ever Battle of the Billionaires Match at WrestleMania 23.
Speaking of the Battle of the Billionaires, that match’s special guest referee got the night started on a “stunning” note when he confronted Jonathan Coachman. It seems Coachman had been sending "Stone Cold" presents marked with Donald Trump’s name. Austin spoke to Coachman in simple terms: “What I say goes… don’t mess with me in this ring.” To further cement his point, The Texas Rattlesnake rocked Coachman with a vicious Stone Cold Stunner, followed by a nice, cold beer bath!
In the sexiest match of the evening, three Playboy cover girls — Torrie Wilson, Candice Michelle & Ashley — teamed to defeat Women’s Champion Melina, Jillian & Victoria. Ashley will face Melina for the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania in an incredible Lumberjill match; can she keep her momentum going and walk out of Detroit with the gold?
It was also a busy night for the competitors in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Chicago native CM Punk defeated WWE Magazine’s "Jerk of the Month" Kenny Dykstra, while Mr. Kennedy & Randy Orton defeated The Hardys. Also, Edge hosted his seven other competitors on “The Cutting Edge,” where a fight broke out between them all. Edge tried to jet out of the ring to safety, but his opponents actually chased him out of the arena. Does the Rated-R Superstar have the “edge” heading into this exciting WrestleMania match?
Ric Flair, a Superstar who will no doubt become a member of the WWE Hall of Fame someday, competed against The Great Khali. Just when it looked like the end for the “Nature Boy,” Carlito ran in to help his mentor and friend. Khali made quick work of the Southpaw from San Juan, though he wasn’t safe from a hook-wielding Kane who he will face at WrestleMania!
Finally, congratulations to Raw announcer Jim Ross, who was named as the final member of the WWE Hall of Fame's Class of 2007. J.R. received a thunderous ovation from the capacity crowd after the announcement.

Recap
The Road to WrestleMania made its final stop on SmackDown, two days away from the biggest WWE event of the year - WrestleMania 23.
Just 48 hours before their epic encounter this Sunday in Detroit, the World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Undertaker were face-to-face in the ring. General Manager Theodore Long tried his best to maintain order during the “biggest interview in sports-entertainment history,” but the tension that has been building between The Animal and The Phenom exploded in front of WWE fans in Grand Rapids, Mich. – erupting into a brawl between the champion and the challenger to his title.
As much as security and officials tried, they could not stop the intense fight between the two men. Batista looked to gain an edge heading into WrestleMania, as he delivered a Spinebuster to Undertaker. The Deadman rose up as the confrontation between these two men had gone past the point of tension, steamrolling right into a violent conflict. Sunday, Undertaker puts his undefeated WrestleMania streak on the line against Batista’s World Heavyweight Championship when these two men collide for the richest prize in the business.
As Michael Cole stated, “the man who will special guest referee the Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania does what he wants, when he wants. Stone Cold is the law.”
As JBL found out, and as the dueling billionaires may find out on Sunday, The Rattlesnake can strike when he feels like it. At WrestleMania, nobody is safe from Stone Cold or the Stunner – not Mr. McMahon, Umaga, or even Donald Trump.
Also on SmackDown, the eight men in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania were scheduled to be in action, but former Money in the Bank winner Edge refused to compete against Matt Hardy, instead introducing his replacement – The Great Khali.
Khali looked to disassemble Matt Hardy, but he was distracted when Kane’s music sounded. The Big Red Monster’s sinister laugh filled the arena, and he warned, “Khali – two days”. These two behemoths will square off this Sunday at WrestleMania 23, and both are looking to lay claim to being the monster of WWE.
While Edge avoided competition, CM Punk made the most of his opportunity when he defeated and shocked King Booker in an upset victory. The straightedge Superstar will look to score another upset this Sunday at WrestleMania.
In a Raw rematch, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton went one-on-one, with each man looking for any advantage heading into Sunday. Orton is looking to regain the form he had when he became the youngest World Champion in WWE history, and Hardy is aiming to get to the top of WWE.
Orton was poised for the victory until his so-called friend Edge interfered, allowing Hardy to get the victory. If Orton is to be successful at WrestleMania this Sunday, he will, as Michael Cole said, “need to get Edge out of his head.”
Another SmackDown Superstar who gained momentum heading into WrestleMania’s Money in the Bank was Finlay. The Irishman defeated Mr. Kennedy in singles competition, but not before Hornswoggle delivered an unforgettable “Lepre-ton Bomb” to Kennedy. Who will ascend the ladder this Sunday at WrestleMania and become Money in the Bank?
MVP’s final match before WrestleMania was against Ethiopian Champion – Viko Batomango. MVP took the opportunity during this match to mock Chris Benoit’s trademark suplexes before picking up the victory. In preparation for his match against Benoit for the United States Championship, Porter has faced competition that some would say is less than spectacular. Will the cocky Superstar be hurt by this approach?
Sunday at Ford Field, will MVP’s laid back approach to this match hurt him against the Rabid Wolverine or will he be “ballin’” his way to gold?
Ashley, Torrie Wilson, Candice Michelle, Maria & Mickie James defeated Women’s Champion Melina, Kristal, Jillian, Michelle McCool & Victoria in the first ever 5-on-5 Diva Match in SmackDown history. Ashley challenges Melina for the championship Sunday at WrestleMania, and the ring will be surrounded by Divas in a Lumberjill Match. Will Ashley end Melina’s reign or will the jealousy of the Women’s Champion propel her to victory?
Finally, General Manager Theodore Long has planned a romantic rendezvous with SmackDown Diva Kristal. As JBL pointed out, “all we need now is Julie McCoy and we’ll have the Love Boat.” The relationship between Diva and GM seems to be heating up on Friday nights.
The wait is over - all roads lead to this Sunday – April 1, Detroit’s Ford Field, when WWE presents WrestleMania 23 live and only on pay-per-view.

I'm not so much a fan of Ashley. Not to say she isn't beautiful. But she should learn how to move before stepping into the ring. I hate to see people who can fight, like Jillian Hall at the most recent Smackdown take a fall to try and show Ashley off. She has momentum going with the public, especially now with her being in the current issue of Playboy, but that should not be a reason for people who have been fighting for years take a back seat.
Of course my greatest petpeeve in the WWE at the moment is the whole mentor angle between Ric Flair and Carlito. I am no Ric Flair fan, but if they want to put him in a mentor spot with a wrestler that's fine with me. But Carlito seeking approval from Flair?! Carlito is the son of the great Carlos Colon!!! Carlos Colon hasn't wrestled much since the mid 80's and people are still talking about him. If he is your father, why in the world would you want to seek approval from anyone else?!

At my local news stand? Unfortunately, not. And I can't even buy it online as I am changing banks. So the credit card is unusable. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u303/axljayangel/icon_sadblinky.gif
To be honest to them, as a writer for wrestling you can never say if a story-line will work or not. We dont know if what they had planned. Was amazing, but due to unforeseen circumstances, that it was later pulled :(
I agree with you, but the least they could do is respect the background of a wrestler like Carlito's. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u303/axljayangel/icon_chainsaw.gif

Recap
Monday night, the sold-out Raw crowd in Dayton, Ohio witnessed the fallout from WrestleMania 23, as well as the disintegration of the now former World Tag Team Champions, John Cena and Shawn Michaels.
Early in the night, WWE Champion John Cena was confronted by his partner and WrestleMania opponent, Shawn Michaels. HBK spoke from the heart about their emotional WrestleMania matchup: “You won and I lost, and I don’t like it. John Cena, you might have won last night, but you are not the better man!”
The two Superstars looked as if they were about to come to blows when Mr. McMahon’s Executive Assistant, Jonathan Coachman, stepped out to announce that Cena & Michaels would put their World Tag Team Titles on the line in a 10-Team Battle Royal (with Superstars representing all three brands)! If one member of any tag team was tossed over the top rope, both men would be eliminated. After Cena and HBK valiantly fought through all of their opponents, Coachman returned with another surprising announcement: the grueling battle that the World Tag Team Champions had just endured was only Part One, and that they had to compete in another 10-Team Battle Royal.
In one of the most surprising twists in sports-entertainment history, Michaels would toss his own partne over the top rope, eliminating them both and effectively handing over their World Tag Team gold! HBK was seen gesturing toward his waist, as if to tell Cena, “I will be the next WWE Champion.”
When only four Superstars remained in the ring, Jeff & Matt Hardy were able to overpower Cade & Murdoch to become the new World Tag Team Champions! For the second time in as many years, the World Tag Team Championship changed hands on the first Raw after WrestleMania.
Just one night after winning the Battle of the Billionaires Match for Donald Trump, ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley once again humiliated the newly-bald Mr. McMahon by ripping off his hat and exposing his “chrome-dome” to the entire arena and WWE fans watching at home. Lashley later continued his dominance in Raw's main event, defeating Intercontinental Champion Umaga and Armando Estrada in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. What a week for the ECW World Champion!
In other Raw action, Carlito and his mentor, the legendary Ric Flair, defeated The World’s Greatest Tag Team when Flair forced Charlie Haas to tap out to the Figure-Four Leglock. At WrestleMania one night earlier, Carlito & Flair trounced Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero & Gregory Helms in a bonus pre-WrestleMania Tag Team Lumberjack Match.
Later in the night, world-famous record producer and WWE fan Timbaland announced that he wants to feature WWE Divas in his next music video. In an apparent effort to impress Timbaland, Women’s Champion Melina entered the ring to strut her stuff in a sexy photo op; however, Melina’s moment in the spotlight was quickly interrupted by a Tornado DDT from former Women’s Champion Mickie James.
The Great Khali’s win against Kane at WrestleMania proved that the enormous Punjabi Warrior can handle almost any opponent. On Raw, Khali destroyed Super Crazy and pinned him with just one of his enormous feet. Can anything stop this leviathan?
Before a wild night of Raw was over, the Rated-R Superstar, Edge, would appear and stake his claim for the WWE Championship: “I call myself the best, and all of you will be forced to call me the next WWE Champion!” Only time will tell if Edge can live up to his claim.

Recap
The “Era of The Deadman” officially began on SmackDown, as the new World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker began his reign with championship gold in his hands.
As Undertaker was ready to speak, former champion Batista, the man who The Phenom defeated at WrestleMania, made his way to the ring and had a simple message: “Congratulations…I want my rematch.” Will these two men square off again for the richest prize in the business? As The Animal left the ring, King Booker attacked Undertaker from behind, hoping to make a statement of his own.
Booker’s attempt for a royal declaration was short-lived, as Undertaker quickly turned the attack into one of his own. Undertaker dismantled King Booker, then delivered a devastating Tombstone on the announce table, leaving King Booker injured. Stay tuned to WWE.com for details on Booker’s status.
The night was supposed to be redemption for King Booker, who was looking to avenge his loss in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match – a match in which Booker was forced to make the toughest decision of his professional life – between Queen Sharmell and the briefcase holding a championship match future. Booker chose to defend Sharmell, therefore losing the match and his chance at gold.
King Booker lost on this night to World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy, and Queen Sharmell then verbally berated him, questioning his manhood by saying, “I was violated by Matt Hardy at WrestleMania – is this how you defend my honor King Booker?” It was not a good week to be King Booker.
One Superstar who had a week on the opposite spectrum was Mr. Kennedy. The “future of sports-entertainment” defeated seven other WWE and ECW Superstars en route to capturing the briefcase and winning Money in the Bank. Kennedy faced World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy – and defeated Hardy to continue the momentum he has been building.
After the match, Hornswoggle appeared, causing Kennedy to stalk him until Finlay attacked from behind. Kennedy then stormed into General Manager Theodore Long’s office and demanded a match versus Hornswoggle. Long granted his request, and added Finlay to the mix, making it a Handicap Match next week on SmackDown.
United States Champion Chris Benoit took on The Miz in a non-title match. Benoit seemed to be in full control of the match, and as he was ready to deliver a Flying Headbutt to Miz, Montel Vontavious Porter interfered, which allowed Miz to pick up the victory.
MVP failed to win the United States title from Benoit at WrestleMania 23, but it appears that he still has unfinished business to settle with the Rabid Wolverine.
Kane defeated Dave Taylor despite interference from William Regal at ringside. The Big Red Machine is coming off a loss to The Great Khali at WrestleMania, and Taylor & Regal were in the path of Kane’s destruction.
The WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick were in action against Cruiserweight Champion of the World Chavo Guerrero & Gregory Helms. The champions defeated Helms & Guerrero in non-title action, but next week the nearly one-year reign of London & Kendrick will be on the line against the men from the Other Side of the Tracks – Deuce & Domino. Can London & Kendrick overcome the odds once more next week on SmackDown?
Finally, General Manager Theodore Long and Kristal have been growing close as of late and reportedly had a post-WrestleMania rendezvous. Does the General Manager of SmackDown have a thing for SmackDown Diva Kristal?

Recap
Shane McMahon seemed to have redemption on his mind when he arrived at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Conn. WWE.com caught up with Shane upon arrival, and he promised to make some serious impact.
And make an impact he did.
Moments after the smoke had cleared from the Raw opening pyrotechnics display, Shane stepped into the ring. Only eight days after his father had his head shaved bald at WrestleMania, the younger McMahon arrived to restore honor to his family name.
“I am fourth-generation in this business,” Shane began, “and tonight is about respect.” With that, he called out the Superstar responsible for the McMahon’s family’s embarrassments: ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley, who strode to the ring. Even Lashley’s imposing figure couldn’t deter Shane from making a shocking announcement. Later in the night, Shane would put his hair on the line against Lashley’s ECW World Championship!
When the time came for the two Superstars to meet in the ring, Shane put up a solid fight before doing the unthinkable: cold-cocking the referee in order to be disqualified! As WWE fans reacted to Shane’s shocking actions, Intercontinental Champion Umaga, Armando Estrada and Mr. McMahon himself stepped into the fray. After Umaga dealt out a huge amount of punishment to Lashley, Shane topped it all off by nailing the ECW Champion in the head with a steel chair. With Lashley laid out and bleeding, Mr. McMahon announced a match at Backlash pitting the ECW World Champion against Umaga, Shane and the Chairman himself for the ECW gold.
Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton met on Raw in a No. 1 Contender's Match for the WWE Championship, which turned out to be one of the most physically draining matches in recent history. Following a surprise appearance by Edge, HBK accidentally knocked out the referee. Once another ref was on the scene, Michaels dropped Orton with some Sweet Chin Music and fell on him for the cover. Unfortunately, both of HBK’s shoulders hit the mat and both refs announced different winners, cancelling each other out and leaving the status of the No. 1 Contender spot unknown.
The confusion was cleared up later, however, when Edge stirred up trouble in his Cutting Edge segment. After the Rated-R Superstar claimed that Jonathan Coachman had named him No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship, Raw’s very special Honorary General Manager, Michael Pena, stepped into the spotlight. Thanks to WWE and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Michael was able to live out his dream by meeting all of his favorite WWE Superstars and announcing a Backlash match with enough gusto to make even Theodore Long yell, “Holla!” Michael used his status as Honorary General Manager to announce WWE Champion John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton vs. Edge at Backlash for the WWE Championship!
In other Raw action, Mickie James & Candice defeated Women’s Champion Melina & Victoria. With some of the Sexiest Women on Television vying for spots in Timbaland’s next music video, tensions are understandably high. Last week on Raw, Mickie attacked Melina and seems to have her sights set on the Women’s Championship.
Lance Cade & Tevor Murdoch also seem to have championship ambitions. After the talented tag team defeated Ric Flair and his protégé Carlito, frustration set in for the Southpaw from San Juan, who left the ring abruptly to the puzzlement of the "Nature Boy."
There was nothing puzzling about the way the World Tag Team Champions, The Hardys, defeated the World’s Greatest Tag Team in a non-title match. They'll defend their gold against Cade & Murdoch in three weeks at Backlash.

Looks like this year's Backlash pay-per-view going to be a classical one from the matches that have been announced. Especially the Fatal Fourway match for John Cena's title. Too bad we didn't see Shane getting shaved bald. If only Stone Cold was around. :D
I hope Edge goes babyface again! :)

Me too. He's better as a babyface than a heel. It's been too long he's been a heel now.
Me too. He's better as a babyface than a heel. It's been too long he's been a heel now. I wouldn't say that he's better or worse as a babyface. But he has more or less done it all already as a heel. Last time he was a face, Austin, Foley and the Rock were dominant, so he didn't get the shots he should have gotten. And at the moment the faces of RAW are either snorefests or are falling apart. RAW needs the hero Edge, in my opinion.

You're quite right there. But it's hard to see Cena become a heel immediately and loses his title to Edge especially after their encounters before. But who knows? ;)

Edge and Cena? It would be a surpriseful tag team. It really sucks that the best tag teams are made out of Superstars besides some exceptions that made out very good runs like the Hardys or the Legion of Doom before.

Tag Team Wrestlers are Superstars too! Besides, I think Edge still has some Tag Team left in him, even if Christian Cage is no longer next to him. The Tag Team division needs a good buzz. The Hardyz is a good start, but it is still only a start.

Yeah, I agree with you. The tag teams division needs some buzz now and good ones. It's been too long there hasn't been competition in it. The last one I liked was Kane and Big Show together. Slow but powerful and devastating! Too bad there wasn't much competition in front of them at that time. It also sucked bad they lost their titles to the cheerleader guys.
Well, with the Hardyz, Benjamin & Haas, Cryme Tyme and the Highlanders (though the last two still need to show what they can do) in there. Raw's Tag Teams could finally start happening again, if done right. Throwing Edge in the mix could seal the deal. With Team RKO the story between him and Orton got a bit in the way. And Orton isn't really a Team-wrestler.

The Highlanders but the Cryme Tyme too in my opinion. They look good but I doubt we've seen the best of them yet.
Raw might be good in the division but not Smackdown! seriously. In my opinion, Smackdown! can have a better division than that.

Raw might be good in the division but not Smackdown! seriously. In my opinion, Smackdown! can have a better division than that. Smackdown's problem is that it relies too much on gimmicks, like Boogyman, King Booker, Jimmy Wang Jang, Londen and Kendrick, Finley & Hornswoggle... Not everyone can make it truely work like Undertaker or Ken Kennedy. Plus,... can someone PLEASE get rid of Michael Cole?! :(
