I noticed someone posted something about religion in one of the other boards (I don't know which one), so I was just wondering: do you follow any religion? (Please don't be a scientologist :p )

Though I believe in God, I don't follow any religion. Just not my thing!

The same here although I go with the concept that religion was invented by the powerful to keep the common folk in line. ie. The Divine Right of Kings and the so called Moral Majority of course according to the preist that instructed me in my first communion would tell me I'm on a path to hell.
If that is true I hope there is a rest stop on the way;)

I believe in a higher power, not sure what he/it is but I was raised catholic.... I do however believe in Karma and Good & Bad energy... =) Also the golden rule.. treat others as you want to be treated. XOXO

I myself don't believe in a God. And I don't hold myself to any religion. I do acknowledge that there are somethings science can't explain. I believe in common logic and reason. I don't believe in a person as being god, but I am open for the suggestion that there may be more to what we see and know. My religion is not in the stories from the bible (though I do believe them to be at the core of us as the human race and therefor not to be taken lightly), but I draw my faith from the people around me. They are my guide and they are what I believe in.

Hey great answer Charlie , so do I. do you know anything about the different energy levels? The higher power BTW is a spirit and therefor has no gender to speak of where we have one for a short time cosmic wise of course while we experience what we want too.

RTF you truly have a renouned way of looking at things. Very nicely put and highly logical as well. I agree.

Though I must admit, people who know me a little bit usually describe me as "that long-haired odd-ball". :p

I'm surprised there aren't any people here saying they're Christian. On near enough every forum I go on there are people believing the Bible to be literal fact.

It's nice to be on a forum where people don't believe in Noah's Ark for a change.

That just sums it up for me! Good & bad, heaven & hell, yin & yang! Karma is also another thing I believe in too. :)

Say that I don't know you! :(

Though we only know each other since the beginning of the year, it's still eight months. :D And I do know you some bit. For example, I know you like wrestling and Transformers... of course, our lovely Terri too. ;)

Besides, if you're an odd-ball, then I'm a crazy perv that needs to be jailed. :o

Just me telling how I really feel, and pointing out the hypocracy of many in organized religion. And I think I may have quoted Karl Marx too "Religion is the opiate of the masses." Actually it's only one neighbor that means it the others know I'm loving every second of it :p

Haha, just found this website before:

http://www.truthforyouth.com/main.htm

They're Christian comics, apparently teaching the 'truth' about everything. According to this:

*Evolution is racist, and all scientists are wrong
*Rock music praises Satan (and apparently scares Christian teenagers too, but that's gotta be a plus)
*Praying to God will get all the charges dropped against you in court
*The Bible was used as a real school textbook in normal schools (despite going against the US Constitution)
*Calling people gay is because of political correctness (homo is the more acceptable term)
*There's no such thing as safe sex (proving Christians really don't have a clue about anything)
*The gender of a foetus can be found 5 days after conception (I'm pretty sure that's technically impossible)

And one more note (which affects everyone on here  ) is that watching porn turns you into an alcoholic, violent, sexist jerk, and looking at porn is a 'symptom'. Apparently porn is a drug. If you watch it you have to talk to a Christian, or you're going straight to hell.

Damn. So...if we're damned for watching porn, I wonder what would happen to Charlie??

Fucking Christians.
