View Full Version : The Notorius Bette Paige/Charlie Laine?
I saw a very good indie film on the life and work of Bette Paige and i got to looking at some web site with her photos and i compared them to you Charlie and i think you resemble her a lot. you both have the beautiful eyes and don't seem aware of what effect they have and act very unaffected by your job. Does any one else think Charlie and bette look similar? :)

Maybe the eyes, but to say that Charlie looks alike Bette... You should have precisely said her eyes or people would think you were on boozes or high. :p

I thought I said eyes and i said similar not totally alike.

Exactly the photos and films that i've seen are in color and a hell of a lot better quality, also the movie brought out(the bio not the internet stuff I've seen and on an cable tv net work) that during her bondage photo sesions Bette couldn't keep a straight face. Infact google Bette Paige -Playboy for a good shot of her

I've seen Betty Page pictures before. I still don't see it.
Of course, the heart sees often things that aren't there. You wouldn't believe how often I see the face of Terri Summers in other people! :p

She was voted the most popular pin up girl in the late 40's to late 50's by the camera club circuit which was the internet sites of yesteryear and not as sleazy as you might imagine. Also you might be right about me seeing Charlie in other women i just see a strong resmblance about the eyes the stare they both have is similar :p

I knew who Bettie was but never imagined someone would compare Charlie to someone from so far away time though I'm pretty sure Charlie would love it. :cool:

...people back then must have been easily impressed, she seems bland to me. There's far hotter girls even in Buckley (and that's saying something!).
Someone said that the photo was bad and it is. The undies were large for the simple fact that back then women didn't trim their bushes and she was rather bushy so her panties were large and covering cause the Klaws didn't want to go to jail for 15 years over pubic hair. Also thank you Charlie I believe that 50 years from now you will be an icon too:)

Probably because there weren't that many people like her, so in a way she was some sort of pioneer (I think that's the right word). Being only one of a few, she had the power to influence others, probably more so than any model today. You could probably compare her to the likes of Jenna Jameson (who I think is overrated personally) or Lucy Pinder (also overrated), but more influential because less women in those days were willing to do porn. Thanks to the internet, we now have thousands of pornstars, compared to only a few in the 50's.
Having said that, Charlie is still awesome, and is still the only porn star I really know of (and the only one I want to know of, as I don't follow porn).
:( There is some sad news today: Miss Betty Page passed away yesterday,December 11 in Los Angeles at the age of 85. IMHO she was an icon that helped make it possible for us to enjoy our Lady Charlie.
